i wonder if you're willfully being obtuse about the whole thing?
My objection, along with others, wasn't about your lack of praise for the lead characters in the movie, but rather how you believe they should project themselves given the tension surrounding the movie. You're free to not like them, that's your prerogative.
And you really didn't have to go on a rant of not being allowed an opinion ( a rant that got tiresome to read after its 3rd line). My point, which you missed, was that you are allowed your opinion, but then have the heart to read a response as well. You don't get to say your piece on a public forum and then brush other peoples responses off as 'thats my opinion, deal with it'. That's not it works.
You say that one can communicate on a public forum and can respond to something they don't agree with and then you're way of responding is
"^^so you don't want them to laugh? you want them to mope around? Because thats what you basically said by posting those two pictures.
they've dealt with a lot of shit behind closed doors. Why does ONE MOMENT have to define their sentiments on the whole issue? Do you feel that because they can laugh, they cannot feel remorse or feel the tension? Do you think they are unaware of it? Do you not think they also lived with that same tension for the better part of a year?
ETA: Don't impose your standards on people. Everyone deals with things differently. "
Is the above you're post only? I gave up reading it from the second question mark. Starting with a question, ending with a question is your way to responding to a person? It clearly makes it seem that you are criticizing and running down the other person for even stating something he/she feels. I calmly responded to MEB's post as that user was not running me down or mocking my reply and hence I responded normally. You're way of responding is like how dare you even question two innocent people and you want them to do this and that. Hence that was the only response I found right to give. Now this is the answer to your questions:
Q: so you don't want them to laugh? you want them to mope around?
A: No, I wished they had waited till things get calm. I can understand what they've gone through but waiting till things get calm and having a private party without media's presence would be better IMHO. That's what I felt. They definitely should be happy.
Q: Why does ONE MOMENT have to define their sentiments on the whole issue?
A: It's a moment shared at a point when things are so bad that there could be riots. Hence my opinion.
Q: Do you feel that because they can laugh, they cannot feel remorse or feel the tension?
A: No, I said that's what it looks like when the Sena have ordered for curfew and things are being burned down in other states and here headlines would be "Deepika and Ranveer celebrating the movie screening". It doesn't look right IMO. Simple!
Q: Do you think they are unaware of it? Do you not think they also lived with that same tension for the better part of a year?
A: They are and hence could have waited or had a low key affair. If they've remained silent due to these protests, they could have held this event too at a small scale without inviting the media. There are so many parties whose pictures aren't share as they are private parties. When so much tension is going on, it's better if the media wasn't invited.

I gave my response very well to MEB. The other person called me a hater and I did not bother later what other RESPONSES were and hence said "I don't care to respond any further".
