From the outset, the issue was never about the queen's pride even for the opposing rajputs. And for the ruling govt it was about vote bank politics. It clearly shows their level of incompetence at maintaining stringent law and order in the state and also it's become habitual for them to bow down and give in to the demands of fringe under the guise of supporting their cause.

I read a report where he was bragging how he was one who told the cabinet that the movie should be banned and got support. And here he is the one who declared the ban not the CM.

Seems like present day Khilji's protesting against Padmavat. What else would one say about a state where 4 minors were raped and nothing done against the cluprit, but strong ban posed against a movie, that might have presented history wrongly.

Padman is ensuring that he gets the maximum screens possible. He was always known to chop his co-stars' roles, now he had to do this as well because for Akshay and Twinkle Padman is their big ticket to pseudo-sainthood.
