i cannot help cringe at this statement..

and this is my reaction being a man..wonder what all those women who have struggled to get their much needed equality which they deserve would be feeling when they hear another woman talk like that

I learn from males; I find them superior. I am not into that auratein mahaan hoti hain'. Sab mahaan hote honge, but I am someone who believes in a man's world. I am being honest.

I can't buy that these educated BW people coming from rich well-to-do families, don't even know the meaning of feminism. I think they know very well what feminism means, and what it fights for. The problem is that the media has painted a very wrong picture of feminism in front of common people, and these celebs don't want to tag themselves as one in front of them. Basically an average person who doesn't comes online, thinks that feminism is all about man-hating. It hurts the women too, because they are expected to have a higher moral-compass than men in the name of feminism. We can see in this forum itself. Actresses are questioned for calling themselves feminists, if they don't meet a specific standard of morality. You have to be pure as milk if you are a feminist

The way Prerna Arora said that "I don't believe that sab aurtein mahaan hoti hai", I guess it's clear that she doesn't wants to be associated with feminism, because she doesn't wants her morality to be questioned.

Why can't people understand the meaning of feminism is just beyond me! It's not that women are mahaan or superior that men but it means that woman should get equal rights like men get. And what's with a man's world? Then why did she make a movie like Toilet where they showed that women won't compromise in a marriage and will fight for their rights? Then she should have shown the opposite coz men are superior 🤔

I disagree ,I believe women always have been the superior gender and this has been their world seized by men who cannot handle the idea of them being in charge.

Her response makes it clear she doesn't even know what the basics of feminism is about. Anyone who knows the first thing about feminism, knows it has nothing to do with superiority of any gender over another. It's empowering people to make sure they have the same opportunities and rights as others.
