Ok it's weird but she's looking very nice in some pics but aunty-like in others. I think she must look much nicer irl.. I like the pink aunty's sari, the one who is standing next to VK on Pg 5.

Women in general never look their best in these buns but most of them can pull them off to look elegant, but Anushka cannot. That, and the excessive sindoor and her large jewelry make her look an eye-sore. The sari on its own looks gorgeous, but its how she chose to highlight the sari that is a letdown

She should've worn DP's sari & choker because this overwhelms her. The sari is beautiful! If she would've worn a different hairstyle, this is HORRID. The hair & then extra-jewellery pulls it down. But the sari is beautiful.

Sabya saris are beautiful but he really didn't style her well here. AT ALL. He just put her in his normal mold but like Clarity said, it's a look suits traditional faces like DP, Ash, Dia, Madhuri etc.

Exactly. Lighter styles are what suit her, as she usually does with Western or traditional clothing. Here she was attempting to be elegant but ended up looking gaudy. Ditto on the hairstyle, a side part would have worked much better for her.

I think maybe she'll dress better for her Mumbai reception

I think she was going for the traditional overdecked bride look. It's typical. I'm yet to find a nice reception picture. All of them are gaudy, all of family wealth on body and sindoor types. Sigh.
