Sonam Kapoor has now bought the rights
of a novel based on The Mahabharata. Titled
Govinda, the book is a first in a three-part
series, written by Krishna Udayasankar.
Besides Govinda, the Neerja famed actor
has also bought the rights of Anuja
Chauhan's Battle For Bittora. "Both (Battle
For Bittora and Govinda) can be made into
films, and I'm going to do it," Sonam said.
Sonam further added that "I don't know
which character I will essay, but its Indian
mythology, which is spectacular and has a
lot of potential.
The actress has also been signed on for the
official adaptation of a novel titled The Zoya
Factor. The film will be directed by Abhishek
Sharma. Sonam chose not to elaborate on it.
"Yes, there's Zoya Factor, too, but I can't talk
about it, she said.
On the work front, Sonam will be next seen
in R Balki's Padman. The film is set to hit the
screens on January 26, 2018.
