Likes of atif aslam or rahat still enjoying their songs for bollywood films but actors on otherside not getting much acknowledgement , in the case of fawad and mahira khan they faced some serious backlash of all the issue though atif aslam released his song from t series music company few days after the ban why is this double standard for singers and actors .

its something rahul dhoaika have to say about mahira khan on what all happened to her

Filmmaker Rahul Dholakia, who directed Mahira Khan in the 2017 film "Raees", says Indians have "wronged" the Pakistani actress.

While Mahira was in Dubai for the Masala! Awards 2017, Mahira spoke to film news platform Bollywood Hungama, and said: "Whether it was Shah Rukh Khan or Rahul or Ritesh Batra or Farhan Akhtar, they all have been so amazing. At the end of the day, it's about films, which is bigger than all of us combined. The film needed to be released. The film had to do well. They were all amazing. They still are."

Dholakia found it "so sweet".

He shared the link of her interview on Twitter on Friday, and commented: "Somewhere I feel we have wronged her. Our people forgot that she is an artist, not the enemy! We took away her right as an actor! Unfair. Mahira Khan you are wonderful and thank you for being a part of 'Raees'."

Mahira came to India last year to shoot for the film alongside Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

However, she was not allowed to attend the promotional events of the film in India after a ban was imposed by some groups on Pakistani artistes to work in India.

Am i the only one who find her average looking? Her facial features might work in pakistan but definitely not in India. Even if allowed to work in india, she would just be some C/B list actress.Its better to be a queen in your nation than being a flop star in India

its not about average or great its about treating actors and singers differently ...

I think Fawad was well-receieved until ADHM, and it was just an incidence of bad luck that his movie was releasing around the time when tensions between the two countries were quite high.

Same for Mahira..

It was political drama that they fell victims to.

The double standard is because, singers are never the faces of a movie, they function in the backstage as far as I can understand.

We Indians are fine as long as Pakistanis are heard not seen. Oh yes we dont mind even if they are seen as long as they are rich or powerful or both like this guy.

Agree there's duplicity with the treatment of Pakistani artists. Fawad Khan and Saba Qamar were talented(loved their work in their respective Bollywood films) but can't say the same about Mahira. She was bad like Meera, no sympathy for her.

...dont make it as india vs pak thing...or rich poor thing ... its just about the dual standards on artist from across the border ... music composer record songs with these singers and they get released and their is no reaction ...but if someone like fawad or mahira do a film this make more news with the negative aspect ...actors alone get blamed and at the same time these singers enjoy what comes their way ... without any fatwas from nationalist or those political parties ...actors or singers or any artist should be treated in a same way ...

Sadly we humans are visual creatures 😛 ..we can only remember or think about something visibly in front of our eyes... that is why actors have bigger status than singers, although that too is debatable, but you get what I mean?

I'm actually kinda glad that musicians and singers aren't treated the same way, otherwise, in this messed up world, imagine musicians getting banned just because of their nationality? Now that would kill my heart. It's great that atleast music is all-encompassing, truly unites us all ⭐️

indeed , though i dont support banns on any art work ...infact sonu nigam , kumar sanu sang in pakistani films when conditions were even worse between both nations i guess near 99 or 2000 kargil days ...no idea about indian actors working with pak at that point because pak industry was not that much established at that point of time ... but my only concern was with what these actors would have felt taking all the criticism .😛
