Actors are more famous than singers and hence become soft targets.

That's the problem with our politics na...every thing is out of convenience. Many industry people raise this point that why this selective nationalism happens in our country. You want to ban the artist from across the border, ban them completely. Why this partiality between singers and actors. In fact, Pakistani artist work in our industry in 365 days, only time govt opens its eyes when any terrorist attack happens.

There is for sure a lot of hypocrisy. I think it is mostly to do with the fact that someone like Mahira had to face the camera, rather than just be a voice. Bollywood picks and chooses what it wants...steals a bunch of Pakistani songs, but ban the actors lol 👏

your title is misleading... it says that BW is biased against all Pakistani artist, while inside you explain about different treatment to Singers versus Actors.

Secondly, it isnt BW who banned the actors, Its the public in general and Government was forced to act on it. Tensions were high during the terrorist attack on Indian Soldiers who were sleeping inside their bunkers, its was an heinous act and since its widespread knowledge that Pakistani Army supports Terrorism, the outcome became of banning of these actors, Singers were let go, cause they arent advertised much for the movie, and hardly few people know their nationality. Actors are more famous and are known to belong to their respective countries, hence this behavior.

But then, before that terrorist attack, no one had asked for a ban on any artist, be it singer or actor.
