After showcasing different avatars in films and latest as a menacing tyrant in Padmaavat, actor Ranveer Singh now will appear as a dashing cop in Rohit Shetty's upcoming film Simmba.

After completing the shooting of Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, Ranveer is hitting the gym again after losing weight for his role in Gully Boy. Now, he is bulking up for the role of a cop in Simmba.

Ranveer's never-before-seen avatar is one of the many reasons to watch this film. The film is being directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by one of the biggest banners, Dharma Productions. Simmba will also be Sara Ali Khan's second film after her debut in Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath.

Apart from Simmba, Ranveer Singh has Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy alongside Alia Bhatt, and soon after Simmba, Ranveer will start prepping for Kabir Khan's 1983, where he will be seen playing the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev.

The lead actor recently posted a video from the sets on his Instagram story, where they are seen posing on the Hot Set' at a Dhobi Ghat.'

Ranveer captioned it, Mamla Garam Hai (matter is hot).'

The shooting of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan-starrer 'Simmba' kicked off at a film studio in Hyderabad.

Ranveer will be seen in the role of cop Sangram Bhalerao.

The film, a remake of 2015 Telugu blockbuster 'Temper,' will hit the big screens on December 28.
