The makers of Manikarnika' are completely justified if they decided to take preventive measures not to make their movie another Padmavati. We know, how Padmavati' is mired in controversies from protests to court cases. Supreme Court had to scold the interference of the politicians even before the common man watched and had given his verdict.

Manikarnika' has every possibility to get into controversies if the makers of the movie aren't cautious. The main subject who could be the centre of the controversies is the heroine of the film, Kangana Ranaut not the content. She has been the centre of many recent controversies with her loose talk on Hrithik Roshan and Karan Johar. So, the makers had decided to silence her from making any instigating statements that might prove detrimental to the movie's prospects. There is no other go for Kangana Ranaut but to hold herself back while talking about the film. Self promotional activities of Kangana Ranaut will not be encouraged as per Bollywood sources.

Don't think the director will show the Rani of Jhansi performing an item song for the British in this movie.

Is Rani Lakshmibai as revered as Padmavati? I don't see any issues unless the makers are getting cold feet and want an excuse to scrap the movie.

Basically, such articles are to condition the followers that this isn't going to be anywhere like Simran promotions. 😆

Who knows what controversies will erupt... but the makers are not into song n dance and showing her love life. Battlefield is where the focus is. Prasoon Joshi is part of the writing team along with Vijayendra Prasad. They know what they are doing.

If any controversial cinematic liberties were taken in the earlier schedule, I'm sure they will course correct following SLB saga.

The film will wrap by January!

No one can take away your Janu's kismat.😉 She's a solid actress and will survive irregardless of hit/flop. She already has several best actress awards. National ke liye puri life baaki hai. Eventually, she will clench that too.

There is going to be nothing controversial about this movie in terms of content. They will try to make it historically accurate as possible and also glorify Rani Laxmibai to the next level (which I don't have any problem with tbh). And there is also going to be a lot of action.
