It took me days to come out of the mind state this movie threw me into.I do LOVE it and would love to watch it again and again but i can't because it's so depressing.The songs,the dialogues,everything about it breaks my heart into pieces.Heck,i had to delete the songs from my playlist to not get reminded of it.

Anyways on topic, I would change cocktail ending, Veronica meeting a new guy and falling in love and moving on with her life, Gautham and Meera remain separated. Saif's role was ridiculous in the film to say the least. Hated that they portrayed that only sanskari girls are worth of love and marriage. Sadma ending should have been Sri remembering KH and getting back with him. HDDCS also. TBH for many years I felt the ending was right. But then I saw a few posts here and I really watched the film and I admit I feel the ending was bad. I liked Vanraj character he is a great man but I honestly felt bad for Sameer. Now if only Sameer character was grey shaded I would have loved the original ending. This is where I dislike SLB. His endings have mostly been unsatisfactory. Even in BM, I couldn't see why Rao loved Mastani over Kashi. Kashi wasn't grey shaded too and it made it all more difficult to comprehend why he loved another woman. Even Devdas ending was a put off. I didn't quite like that kangy char died in Fashion. But I guess that's the only way they could uplift PC char in the film.

IDK if anyone here have watched it but there is a film called Judaai in which Anil Sri Devi and Urmila acted. I hated that ending to the core. It still bothers me why Sri's char got together with Anil char when Urmila char was more deserving. Same case with a Tamil film called Sillunu Oru Kadhal. I'm still annoyed the guy didn't get back with his first love.
