Let's start with the fact that it wasn't her fault she was abused and women dont 'ask' for it.
Ash did not force Vivek to do anything, he did everything of his own volition. And even if she did ask him to do it, it was his call at the end and has no one to blame but himself. Just and FYI, he has said on record that Ash advised him to not do it, but he still went ahead with it.

I never said there was anything wrong with Aish. Ofcourse she was a victim of abuse and she should have initiated legal action, as mentioned above. I do feel bad for the abuse she must have endured. But then, she must have been scared and intimidated by the entire thing, that's why she didn't take it forward. When the entire industry saw Sanjay Khan beat Zeenat Aman, which almost took her one eye, nobody dared to even stop such an abuse. So, you can't expect anything from this film fraternity which is full of narcissist people and nepotism.

I would be the last person to defend Salman on any matter😆. But at the end of the day, Aish moved on, but Vivek suffered very badly in his career. Anyways, this is my opinion, to each its own!

^^Ariana - No f***** reason ever justifies abusing a woman as Salman did. And Ash wasn't with him for her career, they had an actual relationship during which he abused her terribly known instances where he broke her hand and gave her a black eye during that infamous award show
I don't exactly condone what happened with Vivek but he wasn't a child and jumped into it on his own and she i'd excuse almost anything cz she was like a drowning man reaching even a straw to float at that time when he had ruined her personal life and was screwing with her professional life too
So yah from a woman to another woman I don't judge her for it

And I respect her for having the grit to survive such a powerful person's violence towards her

When did I said that Salman's abuse could be reasoned? I dislike Salman to an extent that I can't even begin to say it. Someone who caused death of so many, abused women etc, deserves no sympathy from me🤢

I got riled up with that women become close for career line n responded in that vein. I'm glad I'm wrong and u didn't use it to justify his treatment to those women :)

Anyway a victim owes nothing to anyone if she doesn't want to speak out or even deal/confront it legally or otherwise. She deserves appreciation for being here and having survived that and still managing to make something beautiful for herself and her life. That's what I wanted to tell

Wait, why should we hail her as a domestic violence survivor when she has done nothing to move the cause fwd? forget moving the cause fwd, she doesn't talk about the abuse she endured, not even in general terms.

This author is going to have to look for someone else to hail as a hero because there is none here.

true. aish is so bound by norms that she doesnt want to be recognized for that. she will say, i will talk about my work instead.

I hate Salman Khan.
He is the typical powerful guy who gets away with any crime..
He has killed someone, hurt someone...

I am astonished that he has supporters and fans..!

Lmao. Just because she didn't do anything about it that negates her suffering? People don't like to talk about triggering stuff in their lives for variety of reasons what the hell. People try to forget, repress and move on. Why the f**k is it her responsibility to do anything. People who do that take tons of risks and are judged by so many people. Am sure a lot of them don't want that on top of the abuse. She's a survivor nonetheless and it doesn't make Salman any less guilty of his crimes. Salman's done so much shit to women over the years. To ppl in general. It takes a special kind of blindness and empty headed ness to ignore that.

Also ppl blaming her for Vivek's career. Lol. She just dumped his ass. If that's some crime then every man who's ever dumped a woman is a criminal. To top it off, Salman destroyed his career not Aishwarya. He knew how powerful Salman was and yet called that conference. Aishwarya had the sense not to do anything like that cause she knew he'd end hers too. I can't fathom how in this post Harvey Weinstein era ppl are having this much difficulty understanding why it's hard to stand up against powerful ppl in the industry you're in especially if you're a woman. Read up and get that education. Your ignorance baffles me.

No ..its not that she doesn't get credit for it...it is that she doesn't harp on her ex...or plays the victim card...if she did then there would be people having sympathy for her and admiring her for surviving ...but she is a happily married woman...she has MOVED ON...and chooses not to speak about it.

you're absolutely right in everything you've said and i agree with you. That's why i said the author of this article will have to look elsewhere for a hero because Aish is not a hero and does not deserve any credit in public for being a domestic abuse survivor. she has not claimed to be one nor has she come forward to shed light on the issue in any form. She refuses to talk about it and that is PERFECTLY fine.
