I was going through a few threads and it started to become clear to me that it was all pre planned strategy to garner publicity as moving it to 2018 was pre decided . I was always thinking how come ambani is quiet and there is no way he will let his money go down the drain specially when he is in good relation with indian authorities .Now forbes also openly saying that it was all for publicity confirmed my belief more that it is all pre planned PR stunt ifrom ranveer blabbering things about secens between him and deepika ...to sets damaged ...to DP's comment about country being regressive, Media news channels constantly covering it and publicizing it as it's Ambani's business and politicians playing along with him .

This guy tweeted in August i think about a big movie being pushed to 2018 and there were a few articles as well. A thread was also made on it at the time .

Heard that a 'Big Budget' film slated to release in last quarter of 2017 has been pushed to 2018! Official announcement soon!

Did bhansali made a dud movie tha he stoop so low to this kind of publicity including his actors too, why was he so desperate? Is it alright to promote a movie to this level ? It all seems lies to me now.

Boycott SLB's films. His last decent film was Guzaarish. Well that was also not a very good film. Retard SLB has gone down so low that he plays with public sentiment for box office by showing Queen dancing as a courtesan.

yes, it is a publicity stunt orchestrated by PH and BJP both..(confirmed by someone who has strong political connections)

PH got tons of publicity

BJP will get the mandate for Gujarat elections

win win for both

and Padmavati will release after Gujarati elections, which is next year😆

The chain of events seems to confirmed that this was pre-planned otherwise production houses do not shift the release date so easily and that too 10 days in advance. Most producers wait till 11th hour before making an announcement.

Well the blind tweet from few motnhs ago seems to confirm that postponing the movie to 2018 was a pre planned move in order to grab full publicity , this angle never occured to me before i saw the old thread about the tweet and forbes article .

There have been such blinds for all his movies because of the kind of time he takes to shoot them. I heard the same during Bajirao. What I can't figure out is if they really did think about postponing it then that means the investors will suffer more loss so why will they deliberately do it for themselves.
