I don't think someone has to have some involvement in the movie to condemn the trash of the country wanting to burn a woman alive. Its more of a human aspect. He talks big about women empowerment but when shit happens to a woman in the industry he's in,pindrop silence. But anyway,thats Bollywood men for you.

Forget Big B what has her real life boyfriend done so far? Has he opened his mouth to defend her? Or has she filed a FIR? Cz this scenario is clearly a publicity stunt gone out of control and now biting in their asses

He was widely criticised for saying Khoon ka badla khoon se' on DD after Indira Gandhi's assasination by her Sikh bodyguard in 1984. At that time Mr B was very very close to the Gandhi family - there are rumours that Indira Gandhi personally signed letters of recommendation for Mr B to get into movies - and up till the Bofors scandal Bachchan was close with the Gandhis.

Not sure if he is anti Sikh considering his own mother is a Sikh (like Yu mentioned) but he was widely criticised for saying this on national TV at a time where extremist groups attacked Sikhs in Delhi and Noth India in retaliation of Indira Gandhi's assasination.
