this is bollywood movie , they have even objection on song and dance. What they will show for 3 hr like hindi serial rani sa rani sa lol

Here is a fictional queen of kalinga singing and dancing in a history based movie . All took that as movie rather than some historical documentary where Ashoka destroyed kalinga and by witnessing slaughters in war turn to Buddhism. still no one object this imaginary story of a queen of that country , may be ppl are more tolerant a decade back and may be they understand a bollywood movie than now where even a simple aesthetic dance song sequence need approval of fanatics.

Behind all halabola its less about queen and more about they look history as confrontation between king of different religion and padmavati as sati. Even bhansali himself try to placate them by projecting as some goddess padu.😆

You posted some random old video that has no relevance to this movie to make your point? 😆 Oh ok, you found a few nutcases who think sati is a good thing, exactly what relevance does it have with this movie and those protesting it? Granted that the protesters are complete idiots, and they're creating an issue over nothing, but I have yet to hear them glorifying sati, which by the way is not the same thing as the medieval practice of jauhar.

yes we can just project them as SOME idiot , with open declaration like akhil bharatiya khattiya adhakya - rajput associate while they act like as they were now 😆 , Yes jauhar r goddess. even as per banshali.

yes RSS VHP baj dal also have branch there, still i saw this movie without any disruption , and this was first movie i saw in a movie theater and ppl have lot of enthusiasm for movie rather than comparing history , religious , past nation conflict.. lol

That's new info to me , the other day someone was quesrioning how come there was no protest for asoka ...there is the answer

Woah .. the hooligans might be giving an intense reaction to this film but DP isn't doing anything different .. it's just a film and since the film's team has taken liberties to distort historical facts, it is kind of their fault. No one is stopping anyone from making films on historical characters but then be respectful and tell the real story, if that is what you want to do.

The thing is SLB's reputation is kind of the actual issue here. He made Mastani and Kashibai dance together in his last film. And distorted some more such facts. Similarly, that dance of Paro and Chandramukhi. So, the thing is that people somehow expect that SLB is going to mess up again. He may or may not actually do that but somehow he has setup this expectation and hence, people are already reacting without even watching the actual film.

Isn't Padmavati just getting a free promotion at this rate? It's not like any of those groups can stop a whole movie from releasing, didn't the same thing happen with bajirao mastani?
