OT...He is absolutely right and the onus of older women not getting work lies on us the audience ...not the producer...and those who are saying that the Khans have a say in what actress they star opposite..yes they do...but they can't make the audience come and watch a movie...as simple as that...bash karna bahut aasaan hai stars ko...but abhi Madhuri aur Juhi ki movie lagi thee Gulabi gang...koi gaya dekhne?? baat karte hain...iss forum per the older actresses are called Aunties and what not...but ek actor ne sachhi baat bol dee toh he is a douche😳

Juhi Chawla, 48, was offered a mother's role by 50-year-old Salman Khan on Bigg Boss. And Juhi has no one to blame but herself for the insult.

She couldn't contain her excitement at being on the same platform as Salman. "I am the only heroine of his generation whom he has never co-starred with, Juhi moaned hoping to get Salman's sympathy, attention and dates.

But Salman being Salman and hence blunt, pointblank reminded Juhi that she had refused a film many years ago with him . He even remembered the name of the producer who had made the offer (Bobby Kent) and that Juhi had recommended Aamir Khan for the role instead of Salman.

Juhi squirmed and pretended to not remember the incident. But it was evident she knew exactly what Salman was talking about.

"We can work together now, she giggled nervously.

"Yeah, you can play my mother now, Salman replied.

He was probably being his usual facetious self on camera. But the remark reflects the deep-rooted gender bias in our cinema where actresses beyond a certain age are relegated to playing mother's roles while their male counterparts are still romancing girls half their age.

Sadly, Juhi Chawla accepted the truth of what Salman said that evening in front of the entire world.

No one expressing their disgust now?? kya hua??

Honestly, both the audience and the actors are at fault. I refuse to believe that the most successful male superstars in our industry can just twiddle their thumbs and do nothing in this regard. If they wanted to, they would have atleast taken an initiative to make a change.

This is the reason why I don't watch bolly movies anymore. Can't stand hypocrisy and different rules for women.

I think more than actors it is the audience who needs to be blamed..we are accusing him of lies when we ourselves cannot accept the truth n take the blame.Why wud dey not work wid older heroines..gimme one reason..unki kaun si zadti dushmani h..but they know movies having older actresses r not accepted well wid the mass. Why doesn't an ecxceptionally good movie like EV become BB..sab kuch tha fir bhi hit hi rhi na. Whereas a movie like Dhoom 3 becomes BB..kuch ai tha but Kamli tha.
