Aishwarya Rai turns down a film with Shah Rukh Khan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has reportedly turned down a film starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Pinkvilla reported.

Shahrukh made a cameo appearance in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as her ex-husband. Ever since fans have been waiting for the two to reunite in a film. However, the Jazbaa actress wasn't quite convinced with the script, a source informed a leading Indian daily.

"Aishwarya has turned down several offers. She wants to be doubly sure about the projects she wants to sign. She was offered a project opposite Shah Rukh Khan, and, while she is very keen to collaborate with him again, the script was not convincing enough for her.

Aishwarya and Shah Rukh Khan's were last seen in Devdas in 2002 known their beautiful chemistry and is considered as one of their best performances, but fans will have to wait longer to see them together again.

Currently, the actress is shooting for Fanney Khan, the official remake of the Oscar nominated Dutch 2000 film Everybody's Famous!. Directed by Atul Manjarekar, the film also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles.

Fanney Khan is slated to release on April 13, 2018. Apart from this, it is reported that Aishwarya will work with husband actor Abhishek Bachchan in the remake of 1973 Abhimaan. The original starred Abishek's parents Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.

On the other hand, Khan is currently shooting for Aanand L Rai's untitled film in which the superstar will have a double role and one of it is a dwarf. He will be see along side his Jab Tak Hai Jaan actresses Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The movie is slated for release in late 2018.

Ash has always picked projects that the average star wouldn't do! In her prime days she took on some risky work and she still doesn't follow the norm!

Has she insulted your family member? She is a gracious lady
who has done her fair share of good work. Did you forget Jodhaa?
That was a landmark film. Kajol can't do a role of a queen. Or Guzaarish?
Or a negative role in Khakee? Her career was interesting. I loved her
films when I was younger. Dhoom 2 was the only movie where she played a
true glamorous role. 👏
