Bhansali's Padmavati. Without even a single
dialogue in the trailer of Padmavati, Ranveer
managed to impress all his fans and the
viewers. As we all know by now that actor
goes that extra mile to get a character right
on screen and Padmavati is no different.
According to a report in a leading daily,
sources revealed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali
shot a song sequence with Ranveer and the
filmmaker insisted on the actor giving more
than 10 retakes for one shot to make it
better. Sources also added that it's one-of-a-
kind crazy song which SLB plans to release
just before the film hit the screens.
He has been rehearsing for the song with
ace choreographer Ganesh Acharya. Talking
about the track, a source stated to the daily,
"The song is going to be bigger than any of
the Sanjay-Ranveer combination songs that
have been done before."
Interestingly, the song will have 200 and
more dancers grooving with Ranveer. The
source further said, "The poster, which was
unveiled on social media recently, was just a
glimpse, this song is going to be killer and
bigger."
Recently speaking about his role in
Padmavati, Ranveer told a publication, "It
was a very difficult character to play. I am a
people pleaser, admittedly. I like to spread
cheer and laughter. I like to keep the
atmosphere light even if it means making
stupid jokes and acting silly and crass. But,
when I became Alauddin Khilji for the movie,
there's no trace of that person. Some actors
are that way, where the external starts to
affect the internal. At some point during
filming, everybody realized that at one point
in the morning you'll have Ranveer and the
rest of the day will be Khilji. My whole energy
changed. Which is good, because at least I
know I'm doing an honest job in the film.
But, yeah, I'm almost done now and I have
to say what I told myself holds true to some
extent. All the darkness has been lived out,
it's been addressed. It's almost like therapy."
