KARAN JOHAR ANNOUNCES BRAHMASTRA TO HAVE SEQUELS EVERY 2 YEARS

As the country is looking forward to Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra which features Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The film is produced by Karan Johar under his production banner Dharma Productions.

As Karan Johar was questioned by a leading Indian tabloid about his dream project, Karan replied, "The shoot will start in February-March for the first part. Then hopefully, every two years, we will have a new installment of Brahmastra.

Speaking about the film at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Karan said, "It will be a trilogy and is the most ambitious film we've worked on. Ranbir is a big part of Dharma. We have had great innings with him so far and are looking forward to the next one.

Karan Johar had also tweeted the same by stating, "A TRILOGY ...A FANTASY ADVENTURE...A LABOUR OF LOVE...BRAHMSTRA

The announcement stated, "Dharma Productions is proud to announce one of its most ambitious films Ayan Mukerji's directorial venture We embark a journey into the realm of a fantasy adventure series which will be a trilogy Collaborating on this exciting journey with us is Fox Star Studios and Namit Malhotra. We are honoured to have Mr. Amitabh Bachchan lead our cast along with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The first part of our big screen spectacle will release on August 15, 2019. And we finally have a title BRAHMASTRA

Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan will be working together for the first time in Brahmastra. The film will portray Ranbir Kapoor as an individual having superpowers.

So, what are Ranbir and Ayan going to be up to in Israel while the rest of Bollywood is boisterously ushering in the New Year?

Remember, on December 13, PeepingMoon.com told you that Ranbir Kapoor had no plans to celebrate the New Year? And that the actor, who has been single since Katrina Kaif and he split in January 2016, had no intention of bringing in 2018 with a bang? Well, we stand by that story because PeepingMoon.com sources have now confirmed that the actor will be working on New Year. Where he is going to be working, too, we can tell you. Ranbir is going to be in Israel. Not with some secret crush taking in Israel's attractions that include beautiful beaches, fascinating history and stunning nature, but with his buddy and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Wake up Sid director Ayan Mukerji.

So, what are Ranbir and Ayan going to be up to in Israel while the rest of Bollywood is boisterously ushering in the New Year? It will be a busman's holiday for them. We understand that the actor and director, who are coming together again in 2018 with Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy for Karan Johar's Brahmastra, are going to be working on the mythological film set in modern day India. Brahmastra' is a weapon of the Hindu God Brahma, who is also known as the Creator of the Universe, and is therefore considered quite powerful. Talking about the film, Ayan had said Brahmastra' refers to the ancient wisdom, energies and power that come from ancient India though the film is set in the 21st century.

According to PeepingMoon.com sources, Ranbir is going to Israel to undergo an exhaustive physical training session for his role and Ayan is going to keep him company and help Ranbir with his preparations. The actor who's not had a hit in some time and finds his stock at the box office not at his usual all-time high is said to be taking his career very seriously. After the disastrous Jagga Jasoos earlier this year, Ranbir decided to focus on work and not be distracted by parties and celebrations around the New Year. He's said to have wound up Raju Hirani's biopic on Sanjay Dutt and has time on his hands. But Ranbir Kapoor seems to have already made his New Year resolution. To work hard and party later. Ranbir Kapoor, who will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming superhero flick Brahmastra with Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt, is reportedly planning to undergo training in Kapap, an Israeli martial art for unarmed combat.

For those who do not know this, Kapap, a Hebrew acronym for Krav Panim el Panim (face to face combat'), is a close-quarter battle system of defensive tactics, hand-to-hand combat and self-defense. Developed in the late 1930s, the main focus of this martial art was to upgrade physical endurance, to elevate and strengthen the spirit and to develop a defensive and offensive skill set.

Ranbir will be next seen in the biopic on Sanjay Dutt, which is being directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
