Brahmastra' starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan has been the talk of the town for its superhero plot apart from its star-studded cast. Recently, director Ayan Mukerji expressed his excitement for the film saying that he hopes it becomes "the biggest success of his career. According to latest reports, the talented young director is pulling out all stops to attain the desired results for his trilogy.
If reports doing the rounds are anything to go by, then the film is reportedly being shot on a budget that exceeds Rs 150 crore. The makers of the fantasy adventure series are reportedly keen to make this project match Hollywood standards and are also reportedly looking forward to releasing it in 3D.
Ayan was recently quoted at an event saying, "It's the biggest project of my life. All my hopes are pinned on this film. I hope it becomes the biggest success... I am very excited about the cast but I hope the film gets even bigger than the cast."
The film is slated to release in 2019.

Alia Bhatt starts prepping for Gully Boy and Brahmastra

Alia Bhatt will next been working in Gully Boy and Brahmastra.

Actress Alia Bhatt has started prepping for her two upcoming films - Gully Boy and Brahmastra. The Highway actress shared a lovely picture on Instagram today in which she is reading the script of one of the movies.

Bhatt captioned the pic, 'The party is where the script is. Gully boy and Brahmastra prep time #bestkindatime'.

Gully Boy is directed by Zoya Akhtar. The Dear Zindagi actress will work with Ranveer Singh in the movie.

On the other hand, Brahmastra stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor and it is helmed by Ayan Mukherji. The movie is a trilogy of a fantasy adventure series.

Karan Johar, Alia's mentor commented on her picture that he is excited to see Alia working with Zoya and Ayan.

KJo's comment reads, 'Can't wait for you to work with both Ayan and Zoya!!!!!'.

Karan will also be producing Ayan's directorial Brahmastra. The film is set to release on August 15, 2019.

early next year.

january/february i guess.Alia has completed the shoot of raazi and is currently reading the script while Ranbir will be busy with Dutt related stuff till december.after that he's taking a vacation as well.

Ayan Mukerji on Brahmastra: It's a contemporary film with ancient elements

Doing away with the working title Dragon, the makers of the much-anticipated collaboration of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt announced that the film will be called Brahmastra. Talking about the title, Ayan Mukerji said that it refers to the "ancient wisdom, energies and power" in the film.

While Dragon went well with the rumours that the film would be a remake of Hollywood's hit superhero movie Deadpool, the official title, which is a Sanskrit term, suggests the story will be much more rooted in nature.

Brahmastra is a weapon of Hindu God Brahma, who is called the creator of universe, and hence it is considered quite powerful. Talking about the title, Ayan, on Thursday night, said that it refers to the "ancient wisdom, energies and power in the film.

"It's a modern-day film set in India as it exists today. But the reason it's called Brahmastra is because the energies, wisdom, powers in the film come from ancient India. That's all I would say. There are some costumes, may be not the way you'd expect them to be, the director told mediapersons at the red carpet of Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival.
