Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati will hit the screens in December. Padmavati, which was first performed as a stage play by SLB in Paris in 2008, will have a special release in Paris. While the entire plan is yet to be formulated, the Parisian release of Padmavati will be bigger than any previous Bollywood release. Says a source, "Devdas had one of the biggest ever releases in Paris for an Indian film. But Padmavati, which is a familiar tale to the Parisians, thanks to the opera staged in 2008, will be released on an even bigger scale.

Earlier plans were to dub the film in French for the Paris release. But this move was seen to be detrimental to the mood and flavour of the film. Padmavati will now be released with French subtitles. Incidentally, Ranveer Singh, who plays the archvillain in the movie has a special affinity with the city after he shot Befikre there.

WOHO that's awesome. He really has some great fans there my friend lives there too. I was shocked to see the turnout at the Befikre events It was all for him . Such love..

Will be fun if he goes👏 Man wonderful memories for SLB who directed the opera there and was appreciated.. which kinda got him back after the failure of Saawariya .

For RS - Aditi memories of that festival they attended.. He mentioned it during Befikre 😊

RS is a dedicated actor and he is focused. These parties are irrelevant ,, forgotten in 2 days but roles like Khilji are hard to come by and when appreciate lives on forever.

I think the team are trying to finish shoot ASAP. Its already a lil late right?

As per rumors shoot was to wind up on 20th Oct. Lets Hope they can do that 👏

Glad those hooligans got arrested but on twitter there was some video of them talking to news channels and saying we did it as we are protecting the honor of rani padmavati and we will not tolerate any distortion and that the film wont be allowed to release unless screened before our elders.

Iam worried for the cast and the crew .. Already attack has happened at 3 places. Rajasthan, Mumbai sets were burnt and now the rangoli stuff in Gujarat.

I hope so man, we are dealing with a group of lunatics who are hell bent on getting some attention, I think their aim is to extort money frm the team.

I really worry for Ranveer as he plays Allaudin Khilji 😕

Come Diwali and a bunch of Bollywood stars throw open their doors for their lavish parties that stay in news for a long, long time. For the past one week, we have been witness to all high profile filmy parties and all A-listers are seen hobnobbing trying to mark their attendance at every party. But amidst all, one superstar seemed conspicuous by his absence. Ranveer Singh! The star that is usually the Jaan' of every Bollywood party has been missing from all the filmy Diwali parties that have happened for the past 1 week.

Be it Aamir Khan's party or mentor Aditya Chopra's bash, Ranveer chose to stay absent from all. Hence we thought of checking with Ranveer Singh's team and they confirmed the reason why the actor has been missing from the B-Town radar completely. Truth is that Ranveer Singh is neck deep in finishing the final leg of Padmavati' schedule. There are portions of his that are still to be shot. Because the shoot is happening round the clock the actor is not able to make it to any of the Diwali parties. (Also read: Padmavati': Ranveer Singh has entered as Sultan Alauddin Khilji, and he is menacing)

Right now Ranveer is filming the portions of young Alauddin Khilji. The actor on July 12 had let go off his overgrown beard and moustache to get the younger Khilji look.

Last we saw Ranveer Singh at a media event was the '83 film launch on September 27. Post that Ranveer hasn't been spotted anywhere. Looks like the actor doesn't want to lose focus at all. Padmavati releases on December 1, 2017.

Now that the authorities are involved, they will think twice before doing something stupid

hopefully everything goes well for the film
