No No...only "Looney Tunes" is allowed to do her bak bak before every movie release. And people here do waah waah and hail the Queen 🥱 for being so brave and taking on the world.
But someone who was, mind you, on a public forum (World Economic Forum), not a press release or a movie event, to talk about an issue that she overcame and an issue that she wants to help the rest of the people with, is asked to shut up because people thinks it's PR.👏

And for those saying that someone with all the privileges of DP cannot be depressed and is therefore not worthy of attention, THIS is exactly the problem that people with depression face. Belittling and undermining of what they are going through. No wonder suicide rates are going up.

Disgusting!

It is not depression that we are all commenting on. It's the behaviour, this is how Deepika is - she is always constantly looking for attention right from her episode with Sonam on KWK until this. Nobody is belittling depression... it's just Deepika herself that's being belittled because SHE DOES THIS ALL THE TIME

The article posted by the TM is a snippet from her session, a couple of days ago, on mental health at the World Economic Forum.

Here is the link

As you can clearly see, this was NOT a movie event. She is NOT looking for attention here. She is looking to bring attention to a cause that she feels strong enough about that she created a foundation for it and is helping people around.

I don't follow her otherwise, so am not sure what she says/does during movie promotions, so will not comment on that. But this particular time, she was there because she was invited to talk about it. That's all that I'm trying to say.

she has been actively discussing it since she opened about it, not just now.

I don't know how discussing about depression in World Economic Forum helps her in promoting a movie which is expected to release on Dec and don't tell me the Doctor is a part of promotional strategy .Those who call it a promotional strategy please watch the video ,it is insightful . Don't forget that people still believe mental illness is a negative point of our personality ,isn't that the reason Rangoli responded to HR that his brain was operated and she have proof while there is no proof that her sis is suffering from mental illness . If revealing mental illness is like an additional feature to her cap , I am sure , kangana would grab the opportunity and will talk about her illness .Sadly in our society it is still a drawback .

Well depression is a chronic condition so it's def possible that you can relapse, especially depending on life events.

She said this amidst discussions about mental health at the WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM.
She has her priorities and has been working with her foundation and many other authorities set up to spread awareness about Mental Health.
