No festive date for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'!

This year Padmavati will not have a holiday release

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always released his films on holidays to benefit from the spurt in ticket sales. B-Town has started reserving their holiday releases up to two years in advance. But this year Padmavati will not have a holiday release. Waiting for a festival date would have meant clashing with another release.

So Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone in the title role will release on a regular Friday. Says an insider, "SLB should ensure he gets a solo release because he's not getting a holiday advantage and there's a huge budget involved.

BIG Mistake by SLB... no holidays, no push for collections... it's not small or medium budget, budget is highest, why take chance... WOM can't push on non-holidays, it ain't any Bahubali 2 kind of magna opus, this time to his bad luck, the regional favor he tried to put in his film are already offended by him, so that will not help.

If this film is HIT, it is great, if it is SUPER HIT, dhamakedaar Great & if Blockbuster, SLB will be biggest risk taker of all time.
