I see no one mentioned Rajkumar Rao
LSD, Ragini MMS, Gangs of Wasseypur, Kai Po Che!, Shahid, CityLights, Aligarh, Trapped, Newton and Bose Dead Or Alive...

how much more versatility are you looking for?šŸ˜†

Please. He beats everyone in the current generation when it comes to acting. šŸ˜† Him, Nawaz... but I guess the TM is talking about mainstream actors. Ya know, the more popular ones.

I was shocked at mention of versatility, Sid and Ranbir in same sentence. šŸ˜†

In my opinion, Ranveer followed by Varun are the most versatile actors in this generation.
Ranbir is so damn over-rated. His dialogue delivery sucks. Also, he's played the same role over and over again, that of discovering himself šŸ˜†

I think the stage of career where they r right now, they should work really hard to gain fans. Its the first and most important thing. U can try and experiment after u leave a mark in the hearts of the audience. Versatility is nothing if audience cannot connect to you so i really find this term 'versatility' overrated.
And rest all of them have tried 2-3 different genres and its good. Its not like u will be proved best actor after u will leave a stamp in all the genres.

@bold: +1

So, though I think that Ranveer has taken up different roles and acted well in all of them, I personally would choose a VD movie over a RS movie to watch.

Rajkumar Rao, Ranbir and Sushant, if you are only talking about acting. Versatility is not all about genres, or even characters. It's more about bringing depth and nuances in your roles.

Versatile are actors who can bring out shade and calibrate their act as per role's demand. Rajkumar Roa is the best example.

Varun and Ranveer are hit or miss weak actors. BM was overrated mess. I like Ranveer better in movies like Lootera and DDD. Varun is perfect Bollywood style actor. I am not sure whether he will ever be allowed to be anything different for some time now as he is successful.

Ranbir, Shahid and Sushant are all good actors. BO not withstanding they bring justice to their role.

There is something very intriguing about Ranbir's work. He plays emotion like violin on screen but fails when he tries larger than life role. Sushant is great internal actor. I hope he stays away from Raabta kind of bad roles. Shahid's loud characters are good. He sometime fails when it comes to soft role as he has lot of snooze factor in him.

Tiger and Sid can't act. Arjun and ARK don't want to act. šŸ˜†
