I don't appreciate Animal cruelty as well and this is the main reason i am trying to quit meat since a long time. I don't eat Mutton or Beef anymore But still end up having chicken almost after every 2 weeks😭

SIH: That meal sounds delicious! We always always have poori, aloo rasaa, gatte Ki sabzi, makhana/veg based raita, kaduu Ki khatti sabzi, mango daal & khatte kale channe with badaam/aataa halwaa. Every year on Kanjak, Dussehra & Diwali. No change in the menu since years now. It can be added. Not changed. 😆 🤔

Wow! That's a lot of food Mallika. One needs a huge family to enjoy a feast like that. I think I have had Gatte ki sabzi once or twice at those Rajasthani Thali places 😆 And the thought of Kaddu ki Sabzi scares me.
We have no set menu for anything except Holi which I started years ago as a kid. Pretty simple one. Aaloo curry, Poori, Boondi Raita(Even though I love Veg raita but Boondi goes more with it), Gujiya and Thandai. Loved having it after playing holi 😆

BTW this thread looks like HealthifyMe app rn. LOL

Hadia, navratre means the 9 days before Dushhera and are considered the most auspicious days of the year in which fasts are observed and Goddess Durga /Shakti is worshipped. They are celebrated on different ways in different regions of India. There are two legenda associated with Navratre 1: killing of the demon Mahishasur and 2: Lord Rama prayed and observed fast to Maa Durga for 9 days to help him kill Ravana and he did that on the tenth day which is called Dushhera.
These 9 days represent the nine forms of Maa Durga called the NavDurga. 😳
