BTW this year they are keeping contestants list very confidential so i won't be surprised if none of the rumoured contestants makes it to the final list.

Amiyah : Same here! I was like 11yr something when I started watching UT. I didn't follow that much after the leap cos it made no sense and bored me to death. Also, there was a huge contrast between the pure and post leap Veer. Vikas really sucked as Veer. That passion & love for Iccha was missing in his eyes which the old Veer had. His getup and character had become too manly which was far far different from the Veer portrayed by Nandish. Also, Veer wasn't like the quintessential hero like other male leads of Indian TV shows, he was bit effeminate tbh in a good way. He was like a thorough gentleman, classy, who'd never ever having the thought of hurting anyone purposely or raise hands on women. selfless, kind hearted, considerate lover... kept on loving Iccha unconditionally despite of all the rejection, insults, humiliation Iccha hurled at him! You'll rarely get to see such an wonderfully written male lead in Indian dailysoaps! No wonder he still remains my most favorite male lead ever of TellyWorld. I never had such a connection with any other male character like the way I connected to Veer's character... he had never ever devolved romantic feelings for any other woman except Iccha in the entire show, from the first day to last day he was madly in love with Iccha ONLY, even when She got married to Vansh, Veer used to be like Iccha.. Iccha... Iccha... Then he kept defending her even in the jail even though it was cos of HER blaming him for Vansh's death, he was arrested. His character might seem unrealistic at times how can one love someone THIS much as even after being the sole reason for hurting that poor guy the most but it was darn endearing to watch! But, same can't be same about Iccha, she used to come across as a ping-pong ball throughout the show! I'm still confused whom did she love trule Veer or Vansh?Also, Vikas and Tina had no chemistry whatsoever...

Balika Vadhu is undoubtedly the most iconi show of Colors history but TRP/Viewership wise not only of their channel in fact Uttaran was the No.1 show of India. It used to get huge record breaking TRPs.

That Mukta/Meethi track was yawn worthy. On top of it Meethi toh Iccha sebhi lac guns zyada annoying thi. 😆 Thank God I never watched their nonsense. Atleast they could've ended it by showing that Veer/Iccha getting killed together since they were the eternal lovers why Iccha had to donate her heart (that track was beyond awfully unrealistic) to Tapasya? Her heart only beats for Veer so had she donated her heart to Veer it'd have made sense. Also, during that death sequence of Iccha prime focus should've been on Veer cus nobody else loved her more than Veer in the world. But, instead it was focused on Tapasya and her Mom. 😡

Iccha acted like a Mahatma and preachy most of the times that's why I could never warm upto her. Funnily how she accused Veer for crossing his limits, being desperate and indirectly told him off that he's lusting over his "Bhabhi" on the other hand she fell for Veer all over again when he stopped giving attention/talking to her & started avoiding her after Vansh's death. It showed her double standards. I always felt that Iccha used to take him for granted since she knew Veer could never stay mad or angry with her for a long time, he'd forgive her instantly. Remember that episode where Iccha came running & hugged Veer so freaking tightly and Veer was so stunned lmao! And he forgot everything instantly just one hug made him forget all the insults Iccha hurled at him... 😆

Fans always had high expectations from Veer more than anyone else on the show that's why they were mad at him during the track & it did hamper his character a bit and received outrage. They knew Iccha has always been like this but Veer he's the only one who could always see through Taps' schemes and evil plottings. People didn't like him taking care of her, then the feeding fiasco, thinking she's changed for good, touching her tummy, got softened towards her & all. I don't know how far true is this but I remember reading that NanDami did some manipulations in the script at that time cos they wanted to be shown together on the show, to promote themselves and get more screenspace. But, still all those blunders were nothing compared to what Iccha had done to him. Also, I don't blame Veer fully, I agree he did go a bit overboard & got attached to the baby but that's quite natural, he was a human after all, also its not like he started caring her instantly or was overjoyed with the fact when he got to know the news, in fact he was pissed off, unhappy and never wanted to accept the baby, didn't trust and was suspicious of her. He got attached to the baby after a long long time, constant pressure and emotional blackmail made him do that. Icha, Taps dad & his family members too had hands behind Veer taking care of Taps due the baby. ESP that Iccha how dramatically she used to give lecture to Veer, that he's so selfish, he's become so heartless that he doesn't for his own unborn child. *Yawn*... And its not like Veer snapped at her on spot, or didn't believe her. He reacted only after he got the results which was positive. In fact he went for a test to verify it the truth. Its not like he didn't trust her, he didn't want to accept the fact that it's not his child Infact I found his reaction much more realistic, humanly, that's how normal people are supposed to react. And anyone would've doubted Iccha after her series of suspicious activities, its not like he trusted Tapasya over Iccha, she failed to give proofs (wonder why she didn't show him the old reports, just to drag the show LOL). Had she told him in the beginning that he has fertility issues, thing wouldn't have gone that far. What did she expect from Veer that he's her puppy dog that he'd believe her on each & everything whatever she says? And did she ever miss him when she walked out? how could she even judge that Veer would live happily without her and with Tapasya & her baby? Veer literally turned into a DevDas the moment he read the letter Iccha wrote to him about leaving the house, he hardly even looked at Taps or that baby. He was completely heartbroken... Also, I didn't understand one thing if she could tolerate or put up with Vansh' mistreatment & domestic violence but couldn't forgive Veer just for not blindly trusting her once!..

They were my OTP too alongwith Harry & Hermione. Infact my first ever ship was Veer/Iccha. I didn't even what does it mean back then. Lmfao! You won't believe I was so madly in love with their pairing that I was so heartbroken when I got to know Nandish & Rashmi are real life couple since I shipped Veer/Iccha IRL too and always wanted them to end up together even in real life as well... 😆

Yea! Tapasya was loved enormously mainly due to Rashmi's phenomenal portrayal but I never felt sympathy for her either.

IKR? Indian audience have some weird fascination with male leads like Rishabh et al. Arnav was Barun's character in IPK season 1.

But, he can set an example like Sameer Soni by portraying himself as a thorough gentleman like him And it'd nullify all the rumours about him of abusing Rashmi...

Ofcourse. EHT was an outstanding show minus the rushed and unanticipated which killed the buildup the show had from the beginning & ruined the climax! Its completely based on a revenge drama! Fab show you'll love it. And Sakshi Goenka has to be the most properly sketched, realistic and best written antagonist of all time! So was the actress who portrayed that role (Simone Singh). She was absolutely flawless & was clearly the showstealer in EHT. And women aren't shown as docile, regressive or doormats on the show. All the female characters are portrayed as strong, independent & had solid personality!


Thanks! Yea its true I've never been addicted or such an avid follower of any other Indian dailysoap, even though I was so obsessed and glued to TV serials 24*7 from '09-'12. I literally used to watch almost everything on TV. Man! I really miss those golden days of my life!
