I can't find the tweet, but I read somewhere that Newton is a HIT.

Badly want to watch this one.

Those who watched, does it have a shot at oscars? You may or maynot have liked it but have you felt it has the ingredients to global recognitions?

This is not releasing near me, so I haven't seen it yer.

I have no idea how Oscars are given. I think a lot depends on how you market and lobby your movie and would also depend on other nominations.

Rajkummar Rao's Newton saw Huge growth in its box office collections on Day 2 and Day 3 and beat both Haseena and Bhoomi on Saturday

On Saturday backed by good reviews and the news that Newton is India's entry to Oscars newton saw a huge 200% growth at box office.

Haseena only collected 1.4 Crore on Saturdya while Bhoomi Collected 2.25 Crore and Newton beat both of them after starting lower than both of them on friday.

High End Multiplexes across top 5 metros are the only place movie is doing well.

Newton has got a very limited release on just 350 screens due to multiple movies releasing which has meant that its release is focussed on high end metro multiplexes which jump well on Saturday

Trade Expectation: 1 Crore Opening Day

On Friday newton had opened lowest out of all the movies but now at least it is challenging other movies in the weekend.

Newton Budget

Haseena Parkar is estimated to be made on a budget of Rs 15 Crores all inclusive .of prints and advertising cost.

Production Budget: 9 Crore
Prints and advertising cost: 6 Crore

Newton Screens

Newton was releasing on a total of just 350 screens in India which went up to 430 screens by Sunday seeing the jump.

Newton Hit or Flop

Newton will be considered a hit if its total box office collections cross 25 Crore.

Not yet seen coz it didn't release near me 😭. But a lot of my friends and family have seen it in India and liked it. There are a few members reviews on page 1, so check them if you want opinion of people.
