No film has opened particularly well since Demonetization, add in the hefty GST and every economic sector is in shambles. Chai wala has singehandendly destroyed the robust Indian economy. Acche din to aye nahi, purane din hi Lauuta do, Bring back MMS to save Bollywood and INdia. 😆

In short, all these 2.5-3.0 Cr openings are here to stay. People should get used to them for small films.

Didn't understand your first paragraph...Dangal, Raees,Tubelight, Kaabil, Mom - all this year's movies which opened well...So why are you saying 'No film' ? 😕

Sorry, meant smaller films. The Big Holiday spectacles will still take in the Big moolah and won't be affected much but for smaller films these 2-2.5 Cr openings will be the norm in the immediate future. Plus all the movies you listed except Tubelight were pre-GST.

Hate to say this but I thought it was a bad movie.

Agonising because I LOVE the concept, the story had such scope to be so good but it failed. Hansal Mehta is incompetent. So frustrating. This film needed someone with super vision, to weave the elements of the story together seamlessly but Mehta seems to have been overwhelmed. A real missed opportunity.

On the other hand, this is one of Kangu's best performances. She was excellent in every scene. She done things that I've never seen anyone else do. She's proven herself as a brilliant performer many times, but in some scenes she's even outdone herself. Those expressions and the body language are just too real. I am blown away by her. Such a shame the SLOPPY storytelling let her down. This very easily could have been bigger than Queen. Ufff bye.

She gave an IV saying 'She is very successful' or some such thing...There is a post with that heading...May be you just have to go 3-4 pages deeper to find it!
