I think there's always going to be an element of competition between MIL and DIL in every culture, even those on best of terms! Mama's boys tend to be more attentive, I have to give props for that 👏

^^^^^ We are waiting for JJ to come out on Blueray or DVD... giving them as Christmas gifts 😃 waiting for Dragon anxiously! Dutt is a subject matter I know zero about so I may skip it unless you all LOVE it 😉

My BFF is newly engaged and already the DIL/MIL drama has begun Any advice?

Tell your friend to respect his mom , exactly the way she wants him to respect n treat her mom.

A little sacrifice now will pay lot of dividends later in life.

Accept his mom's role and hope that his mom will also accept the other important lady in her son's life.

Everything falls in place after teething problems. Both MIL and DIL are permanent feature , so learn to co-exist.😃
