Nepotism ka rona khatam karo.
It's producers money uski marzi jahan spend kare.
If ppl are so butthurt by neportism than they should ask for transperency in politics, judiciarys, media since they affect our daily lives not stars.

Isn't the whole debate around nepotism precisely that? I mean how easy it was for Alia to find a footing in the industry, when it took nearly a decade of harships and struggle for Kangana to establish herself despite being 10 times more talented than Alia. That's exactly the problem, Kareena. Wouldn't expect you to understand though. And some other professions having it does not desolve Bollywood's nepotism from bein wrong.

Struggle is the only major factor. By saying nepotism exists every where, these starkids cant nullify its impact and the struggle outsiders have to go through while star kids get easy ride and bumber launch pads.

Honestly, people need to stop being so butthurt about nepotism.

If I'm successful in a field and my son/daughter needs help in the same, I will help them. It maybe not ethically right but as a parent I don't see any wrong in using my influence for my kids. At the end of the day, I can't shove my child down anybody's throat. Whether he or she makes full use of the opportunity is upto them.
So many outsiders today, infact the most successful ones like Deepika and Priyanka are outsiders but I don't see them crying around like Kangana. Everybody struggles but nobody succeeds with self-sympathy. You have to be hard on yourself to get somewhere.

And honestly, normal movie go-ers don't give a damn about who is an outsider/insider. It all boils down to talent. Which is why an insider like Varun is doing better than Sid, whereas an outsider like Ranveer is doing better than Ranbir.

On bold. Exactly. When it comes to kids, no parent can be absolutely neutral. Nepotism may be ethically wrong. But it will continue to exist, as all (normal) human beings are selfish (not talking about saints).

If not parents, connections/contacts defenitely help in lot of professions. In IT, if one does not get selected in campus selection, it gets harder while applying for jobs (as literally thousands of CVs are mailed for the job and most get dumped without proper scrutiny). But a resume forwarded by an employee, at least goes through the first scrutiny. Whether the resume goes to the next stage, will depend on the merit of the candidate. At least, it will be considered at the first stage. Totally agree with Desigal about medicine field in US.

Vidya Balan worked with Pradeep Sarkar in Music videos. He saw the talent in her and he launched. The new girl launched along with Varun Dhawan, worked for an ad with Shoojit Sarkar. Sharukh made contacts while working in Delhi theatre.

Basically, networking is important (in any field). If you have parents in the same field, it helps (but does not guarantee). Otherwise, build your network with good communication and hard work. Good communication and rapport with colleagues is as important as hardwork. If you keep blaming bosses, you will be cheered by colleagues. But it is difficult to reach the top with hard work alone. Kangana feels, she can acheive it with hard work alone. Best wishes for her, but it is tough.

10 times more than Alia? LOL. Merely an opinion. I find Alia immensely talented and I don't find Kangana as talented as her all thanks to her bad dialogue delivery.

nepotism exists everywhere
most of us here may be products of nepotism too

in my office every one is either some one's cousin..mama..chacha..beta ..almost everyone..

this is a global.issue existing in multiple industries

but we cannot deny it..and neither should these star kids feel so offended..talent or not..they do get is easy..so be thankful instead of getting offended..

kareena surprisingly makes sense though..way more than the idiotic piece of trash her husband wrote..

@stinsonishere- I thought I was the only one lol. I find Alia above Kangana in terms of dialogue delivery, looks, charisma and dancing skills. Kangana''s diction puts me off.

Life isn't always fair n I find nothing wrong in making USE of the resources you have at hand. No one can choose which family they are born into, so there is literally no point in comparing who had it easier vs who had to endure hardship and struggle.

It is a pointless debate really cuz to be successful in Bollywood you have to have SOME kind of privilege anyway (as a female). Either that's looks or a good family background. Just like Aish uses her good looks (which she didn't have to work hard for either 😛) to still get work, other ppl like Alia use their connections to get work. I see no problem with either.

Agree with the exception that Ranveer is NOT an outsider .. 😆

I can vouch from experience, I know some fellow doctors who knew that all they had to do was pass the Boards and not worry about scores, coz they had family sitting at the heads of residencies. Most of the students with me had doctors in the family.

All fields have some level of nepotism. Any job is easier if you have family sitting in there. My friend got her sister a job as a civil engineer in the same company she works.

I just think the debate is overdone in Bollywood at this point. Does it give you the initial push to be a star kid? MOST DEFINITELY YES. But will it determine if you're successful? I don't think so.

I think Varun, Ranbir, Alia, Kareena, Hrithik, Salman, Kajol, Rani, Saif got this far coz they had something that the audience liked.
Similarly, Akshay, Shahrukh, Ranveer, Kangana, Priyanka, Rajkumar Rao, Ayushman, Siddharth, are here coz the audience likes them. Some of the top heroines in recent times have NOT been steroids. Katrina? Deepika? Priyanka? Kareena has a point. At the end of the day audience gets to have the last say.

Not all outsiders should be hailed just coz they're outsiders, similarly not all star kids are successful if the audience doesnt like them. Some exceptions make it though. Hell people shit on Arjun Kapoor all the time but his films work. He has quite a fan following.

Agree but Kareena's statement in the OP is just *facepalm* ..
