Actually Kareena is best person to talk about good side of nepotism. She has maximum no. of contributor in the industry from her family and her record is not exactly shabby. She has clear idea and knows what she is saying. 😊

I have a bad feeling Kangna's contribution to industry will be sidelined pretty soon. If I have learnt one thing working in corporate, it is this -no one likes loose cannon. Each time I look at Queen or even movie like Simran, I wish Kangs had not opened this can of worms. She really had this amazing potential to reach the top. Now she is rapidly becoming media fodder. 😭

She nailed it. It just makes an interesting read. It exists in every field since parents all around want the best for their kids and put in the best of efforts to ensure that.

It's not murder though. It's connections. And that's true in all fields. You think medicine is spared?

I can vouch from experience, I know some fellow doctors who knew that all they had to do was pass the Boards and not worry about scores, coz they had family sitting at the heads of residencies. Most of the students with me had doctors in the family.

All fields have some level of nepotism. Any job is easier if you have family sitting in there. My friend got her sister a job as a civil engineer in the same company she works.

I just think the debate is overdone in Bollywood at this point. Does it give you the initial push to be a star kid? MOST DEFINITELY YES. But will it determine if you're successful? I don't think so.

I think Varun, Ranbir, Alia, Kareena, Hrithik, Salman, Kajol, Rani, Saif got this far coz they had something that the audience liked.

Similarly, Akshay, Shahrukh, Ranveer, Kangana, Priyanka, Rajkumar Rao, Ayushman, Siddharth, are here coz the audience likes them. Some of the top heroines in recent times have NOT been steroids. Katrina? Deepika? Priyanka? Kareena has a point. At the end of the day audience gets to have the last say.

Not all outsiders should be hailed just coz they're outsiders, similarly not all star kids are successful if the audience doesnt like them. Some exceptions make it though. Hell people shit on Arjun Kapoor all the time but his films work. He has quite a fan following.

The kind of unsavory things kangna had to do just to get by , would never ever occur to alia and kareena , "I am kapoor, acting in my gene, charity platter ' kapoor.

Frankly at this point, she has no good movie, no credible box office record, cannot dance, is a limited actor and is yet she keeps getting endorsements because of nepotism.

Say what you want to about Kangana but she really started something here.

People ARE talking about nepotism now,
Aadar Jain was totally gonna be launched as a Kapoor but the negative backlash meant that YRF dropped that whole association.

Maybe her career will survive, maybe it won't but she set the groundwork & the audience is about to be a bit more critical now.

Honestly, people need to stop being so butthurt about nepotism.
If I'm successful in a field and my son/daughter needs help in the same, I will help them. It maybe not ethically right but as a parent I don't see any wrong in using my influence for my kids. At the end of the day, I can't shove my child down anybody's throat. Whether he or she makes full use of the opportunity is upto them.
So many outsiders today, infact the most successful ones like Deepika and Priyanka are outsiders but I don't see them crying around like Kangana. Everybody struggles but nobody succeeds with self-sympathy. You have to be hard on yourself to get somewhere.

And honestly, normal movie go-ers don't give a damn about who is an outsider/insider. It all boils down to talent. Which is why an insider like Varun is doing better than Sid, whereas an outsider like Ranveer is doing better than Ranbir.
