Chunky Panday's 18-year-old daughter Ananya has created quite a splutter in the city's social circles. While her Bollywood debut is a subject of much speculation, her public appearances have also started catching the attention of the paparazzi.

The teenager and her actor dad became subjects of discussion on social media recently, when filmmaker Farah Khan commented on a photo of Ananya that her mother Bhavana had posted online. "Do a DNA test please. She's too lovely to be Chunky's child," was Farah's comment.

While many people treated the comment as a joke, some took offence to it. However, it looks like Chunky has taken the comment in the right spirit.
He told a leading daily, "Farah is a darling friend and I know what she meant. She actually called Ananya beautiful. So I take that as a compliment. Also, Farah, Sajid [Khan] and I have a dark sense of humour, so we often crack such jokes about each other. Farah used to openly crush on me when we were young. And I always joke that crush got crushed. In fact, both my parents were doctors but I was a duffer. So when I was young, I also got my DNA test done."
