| Contrary to the belief that Salman Khan will be in a cameo in 'Baabul', there are reports that he is in a full-fledged role in the film. This is Ravi Chopra's next presentation after 'Baghban' and in the former film Salman did have a small role. But here he has a developed and big role. Ravi Chopra shrugging the media reports that Salman Khan is in a special appearance in the film clarifies, "Salman Khan has a big role in Baabul. He has a full-fledged role in the film. He has a complete role in the first half of the film and keeps appearing in the second half of the film as a spirit." This means that he has got ample scope to be a part of the film. 'Baabul' has Salman playing a son to Mr. Bachchan. The film tells the story of a man who goes against set traditions to help his widowed daughter-in-law marry again. Rani Mukherjee plays the daughter-in-law and John Abraham plays the man who wants to marry her after the death of her husband Salman. This Ravi Chopra's ambitious film is much waited this season as it hits the theatres on Friday. | New Delhi, Dec 8 (IANS) After a star studded premiere in Mumbai, Ravi Chopra's much talked about 'Baabul' will be showcased at the Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA) in Kuala Lumpur. The film, which deals with widow remarriage, stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, John Abraham Salman Khan and Rani Mukerji. 'I am not sure about Rani Mukerji but the rest of the cast as well as director Ravi Chopra have flown to Kuala Lumpur to attend the screening,' said the film's publicist. The film's first screening in Mumbai Wednesday evening was a gala affair with the entire cast present besides Bollywood biggies like Neetu Kapoor and Simi Grewal and the hottest pair of the moment, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. 'This is the 50th year of B.R. Films so we wanted the premiere to be grand,' Chopra told media persons. Rani looked a little tense and, when asked, told reporters that she was nervous because she didn't want to disappoint her fans. The film revolves around Balraj Kapoor (Amitabh), a rich businessman happy with his life. He has a loving wife Shobhana (Hema) and an ideal son Avinash (Salman Khan) married to Malvika (Rani). The happiness is shortlived. Avinash is killed in an accident and Malvika is unable to cope up with the tragedy. Her father-in-law decides to bring her out of her grief by marrying her to old friend Rajat (John).
