What is wrong if she did that? Horoscopes r true only difference is hardly any know how to read them properly

And as this manglik thing isn't gender based it's ok if whoever the partner who has the planetary issue marries a harmless tree if they want to ensure their own peace of mind

I don't get why some members of other religions insult these things just cz theirs doesn't believe these things or even punarjanam etc things which we believe in!

I do believe in astrology too.. but its a very complex science... and these days u wont find many authentic practitioners of this science...most of the so called astrologers are out there to make a fool out of gullible, desperate & suffering people.

Someone asked what is Magalik dosha- so I'll write what little i know about it. Manglik dosah is related to the positioning of Planet Mars in the horoscope of a person. The Indian styles horoscope has 12 houses or compartments related to 12 zodiacs...when a person's horoscope contains Mars in one of the selected few houses like the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house then that person is known to be a manglik. But the effect of placement of mars is different in different houses also i.e. may be less severe in one house than another... and one of the most severe bad effect of Magalik dosh is death of the spouse.

however, even though I believe in astrology, I do not necessarily agree with the remedies which astrologers have come up to nullify the manglik dosh or other doshas. For me prayer to god is the best remedy.

there's a difference between religion and Astrology... I hope u understand that...

No need to mock someone religious beliefs to justify someone else's beliefs.

FYI - Yes I worship stones, trees and rivers and stuff too... and I'm proud to do so...because we Hindus believe that God is in every creation of this world.

How is it mocking? It is a stone indeed, there is no scientific proof that a being exists there, it's our belief that our God exists in such a form, and we pray and attain peace from that. Some go to the tombs of their loved ones, to connect and talk to them, while others would see that place as a bunch of bones. There is no right or wrong, religion goes far beyond what our eyes see directly, and only followers would understand that.

@bold- do you have a scientific proof of heaven or hell?...yet no person raises objections on believing a GOD that resides in some 7th heaven? can u explain why? Its funny to see people firmly believing, without any proof, that God resides in some heaven and yet asking for scientific proofs about existence of God in stones?

"Some of the most educated people pray to stones and stuff. It is faith and belief; nothing to do with education."

And there is nothing wrong with it because like I said, it's about faith and belief, and that's a person's prerogative. Just like this marrying a tree thing or any other superstition. At the same time, other people may not believe in any of this at all and that's their prerogative.

I believe God exists there, but how would a non-believer see that? Our devotion transcends what is tangible, and that concept will not be understood by those who don't follow our faith specifically. There is no "proof" for any theism but if someone doesn't share the same viewpoint regarding faith, don't take it negatively, that's all.

educated and even non-educated people do not merely pray to stones and stuff. they are infact praying to their God which they believe is omnipresent... including its presence in stones and stuff...

But even then the statues in temples are not just considered stone...there's a specific ritual of 'Pran-Pratishta' only after which people start worshiping that statue which u are calling stone & stuff.

There's a whole philosophy which u are ignoring behind your sweeping comment about worshiping stones...the person is not worshiping stone but the presence of Almighty even in a stone. what u call worshiping of stones is considered worshiping of God in Hinduism.

I hope I'm clear about the difference between worshiping a stone and worshiping the God residing in a stone statue.

I have absolutely no issue with this practice. And I dont comment on practices of other beliefs when I myself not like people commenting my beliefs. So fine if they did that. There are things like nazar utarna and sadqa among Muslims as well.

My concern here is not her marriage with a tree..but marriage to a gadha after that. lol. I mean such a beautiful (so called, not my type) actress, miss world, love of salman and vivek ended up with this tondu (pot belly) bad looking, amitabh wannabe failure. lol

But now that it has happened .. i wish her well. this is what i notice in life...langoors getting hoor...and handsome like me getting nothing. but its ok.

You think god is present in that stone or is omnipresent, good for you! But that's the point. Educated people or not, people of every kind worship stones (god for you, but stone for some others). So why is educated people practising superstition so shocking? It's more or less the same.

And this isn't about Hinduism. It is not the only religion to worship in this way.
