Manglik means that the position of Mars is in those four houses which considerably affect other planets and their effect.
Mars is a very strong planet and brings prosperity and luck but creates problems if the one you are marrying doesnt have the same position of mars.
Moreover there are two kinds of manglik, aanshik means partial and ghor means absolute manglik.
Partial mangliks can get married with some pooja path or the effecf reduces after they reach a certajn age but with ghor mangliks that doesn't happen and they need a spouse with the sams poistion of mars or if possible in a house greater than their own.

It's temperamental. Mangliks are more aggressive, assertive, energetic, outlandish, sexual, and dominant than non-mangliks. Almost 70% of people are full or partial mangliks. That's where the whole stigma comes from. The energy of a manglik is overwhelming for a non-manglik, which is why marriage between a manglik and non-manglik is a debatable event in Hindu culture.

Oh, and education has nothing to do with superstitions. Some of the most educated people pray to stones and stuff. It is faith and belief; nothing to do with education.

And, why is it that people believe that if one were educated that he/she shouldn't have his/her set of relivious beliefs?
When educated people here on IF can create ruckus over film stars then atleast the ones having religious ideologies are way better.
Moreover, fhe followers of Sanatam dharm or Hinduism as it is now considered nature as their savior or god. They belived that nature protects them and nurtures them which infact is true. So quid pro quo dictates respect and worship the nature so thaf it offers its endless resources to you.
