Was Sajeev Kumar ever considered a SUPERSTAR?

I don't want to know about his acting skills or how great he was as an actor. Its a well known fact that he's considered to be one of the all time greatest actors ever of India (well, to me he's the greatest ever but that's not my question).

But, I wanna know how big of a star he was or was he ever considered to be a superstar? how big was his stardom? or where does he rank in terms of starpower compared to his generation's actors?

no he was not...not like Rajesh Khanna or AB Sr...He was a great actor...his movies did well...but there was never a crazy fan following for him...like there was for RK and AB.

No he was always considered a really good actor but never a superstar. Rajesh Khanna was a superstar.

Most of the members here are teens or in their 20s or 30s. I am guessing very few people here would be above 40. It's tough to answer ur question without asking parents or doing research on him.

As much as I know, he was definitely one of the successful and versatile actors of his generation who was well appreciated for his acting skills and playing different roles.

Btw, from which era was this superstar system started? I don't think it was present in the black and white movies era.

He was critically acclaimed and considered to be a fantastic actor. But not a superstar. He was pretty popular tho, from what I have heard from my dad who loves him and hates AB Sr lmao. Not a superstar per se but an extremely critically appreciated and well-respected actor.

Not a super star but one of the greatest actors of Bollywood..he didn't have the style or aura of a star nor did he have crazy fans..he played father to AB/Shashi Kapoor/Sharmila Tagore in 70s...He was doing 'character actor' roles same time as hero roles.one of the most powerful and brilliant actors who held his own against established stars/superstars..
