Chennai Express was released in the overseas markets on 8 August 2013, and a day later in India. Extensive paid previews were held in India on 8 August as well. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, it broke several box office records in India and abroad, becoming the quickest film to collect 1 billion (US$16 million) net domestically at that time. The film currently ranks as the eighth highest grossing Indian film of all time.

Chennai Express was an awesomely entertaining film.

The last SRK BB and watchable film for a long long time And the star of the show was ofcourse Meenamma aka Deepu...

Such an adorable characterization and portrayal of a female protagonist is hardly seen days⭐️

And of course thangabali, meenas father, entire hilarious supporting cast were icing on the cake.. Its till date my fav movie of Rohit Shetty.. Special mention to the music album which was awesome 👏

Chennai express was the last SRK movie I enjoyed. Masala entertainment but worth watching and enjoying. Well deserved blockbuster. Meenamaa's accent 👍🏼
