Acha, so you know I'm a Ajay Devgan fan? :) I've seen all of his movies till date.

Yes, I agree with the last paragraph. Ajay & Aamir are great actors but some performances which they have done throughout their careers is just amazing. Can't imagine anybody doing Ghajini, PK, Dangal, Deewangee, Zakhm, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Gangaajal and ect.

Ajay has made mistakes in his career which is normal but he needs change. I want him to do content based films with good stories because he's done it before with Zakhm and other movies as well. Hopefully, Tanaji Malusare will bring the best out of Ajay because he's never played warrior before. This type of role will suit him. I can easily imagine him doing Jodaa Akbar & Baijirao Mastani. No offense to Hrithik & Raveer who both exelled in their roles respectively but Ajay would have done both roles with perfection.

I think Ajay does need a switch of film choices. He was so good in Drishyam, he needs to do a few things like that and some dark drama. He fits really well in them. Tanaji does seem interesting, I think among the most BW stars, Ajay should be the best choice for doing Warriors films. HR is really good in them and Jodha Akbar, I feel, was made for him. But Ajay can also do historical stuff with panache IMO. Let's see what he signs next.

And yes the movie is worth a watch...

Right? He is soo good. It's so difficult to be able to deliver a performance like that as a sophomore. The movie is interesting, very different from the standard BW thrillers. Something whimsical and poignant about it.

Kind of strange in retrospect. But yeah, Aamir in general, needs to work more with Pankaj/Supriya.

i even liked pairing of Amir with beautiful farah and that pairing too was not given any chance
then i liked the pairing with urmila and alas the same thing happened it too was not given any second chance

Yeah, it was a great pairing actually. But yeah, movie different thi, toh zyada focus nahi huya. Urmila/Aamir were great together, man. Don't even remind me. Urmilla was one of the best talents we never appreciated and lost.

Best scene in Raakh was when he shots a guy in theater...Aamir was brilliant. It was Ketan mehta movie IIRC.

after Raakh he signed some duds...but he learnt from his mistakes and look where he is now...😊

Ugh yes, goosebumps. The general blood symbolism was brilliant too. I remember reading this really old article on it which said, "Aamir probably didn't even know how good he was in the film.." and it's true. I think he couldn't really cope with the general romantic and familial tone of the early nineties, none of it had ever been his scene so he kept signing strange films to get BO success. It's after 1997, as India was stepping into the twenty-first century, Aamir kinda found himself again. But yes, Raakh was such a memorable performance. No, it wasn't a Ketan film IIRC. Aditya Bhattacharya was the producer-director along with two/three others I forgot. Aamir was in Ketan's Holi before.

Unpopular opinion I'm sure but Aamir is such an overrated actor. He's a great mind but acting is so so mechanical. In the 90's he was a pain in the ass to work with for directors and his co-actors due to his constant 'suggestions' and millions of takes. Today that very thing 'defines' AK where his suggestions are considered Gold and his million tales have earned him the nickname 'Perfectionist'. The way success changes perceptions.
Great Mind, an overrated actor but he can outwork anyone.
