I saw the movie yesterday and I really enjoyed it! Around January, the theater that used to play bollywood movies near my house was taken over by amc and they stopped playing bolly movies. They did play Raess and after that now JHMS (don't have a clue why only these two). For all other bollywood movies we have to go to the amc almost an hour away.

The beginning of the movie was a bit slow for me but once I got into it I liked it. I don't understand the negativity around this movie, it really isn't bad at all. My sister usually doesn't like bollywood movies and even she said it wasn't bad lol.

I was talking to my mom after the movie and I was like I loved humpty sharma ki dulhanniya, love aaj kal etc but none of those actors (although I like Varun Dhawan) can make me feel the way Shahrukh Khan can. I don't know how to explain it but he makes you feel that love waali feeling which no one else can. Shahrukh looked great, anushka was fine and they had great chemistry. Songs were okay, was expecting a better album since imtiaz ali movies usually have really good songs. But I'm in love with hawaayein! The movie had some really nice moments and the way SRK expresses with his eyes, ufff amazing! I really miss seeing Shahrukh Khan in romantic movies, no one does romance better than him. So ya, overall a nice love story. 😊

nose dived as it could not hold on the moments it had weaved..

I am good .Even I liked this more than Raees and Dilwale.In fact my family also liked it.Some songs like Ghar and yaadein are very good and I am listening to it daily.

To Everyone Who Hated Jab Harry Met Sejal, The Film Is Much More Than Finding A Lost Ring

It is not just about finding a lost ring, it's about finding a lost soul.

You find the best things in your life when you're lost. Imtiaz Ali dissects this aphorism in Jab Harry Met Sejal to show love in the most avant garde style. Yes! I know I am going to get tons of abuses but still I have chosen to pour my heart out on why I liked Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Imtiaz Ali's latest film. Let's just agree to disagree the fact that the movie is not just about finding a lost ring.

Yes! The film went downhill in the second half and it had a rushed and incomplete climax. I agree with each and every fair criticism the film has been receiving but I also feel there's much more to the film of what one has seen in it.

Read ahead if you've seen the film or you are not planning to watch the film at all.

There is a scene where Anushka falls asleep in the arms of Shah Rukh Khan and as he wakes up there's a blank stare on his face. He realizes how all of this is temporary and can end anytime. He comes out of the place as Nurmahal's flashback scenes backed with Nooran Sister's song Jeeve Sohneya Ji builds up this soul tearing sequence.

As he comes out, he imitates "Na mera raja putt, ae honda hai (Don't worry child, this happens, everything will be fine) assuming he's creating a non-virtual support because he is alone and lost in a country where he has no family. When Anushka Sharma finds out why he was crying, she says "Lonely nahi rehne dungi tujhe, This is a moment which hits at the right place if you can connect with the characters. Anyone living away from home or family will immediately connect to Shah Rukh Khan's blank stare when he sees Anushka Sharma and realizes all this is not forever.

This film is all about some wonderful moments and extra ordinary songs. When Anushka meets Shah Rukh for the first time you'll be forced to think of Jab We Met's Tum mujhe Bathinda pahuchaoge' scene. The airport scene where Anushka says, "Toh yeh woh moment hai jab mujhe jaana hoga, will remind you of Love Aaj Kal's scene in which Saif comes to drop off Deepika Padukone at the airport.

The entire dancing on the street sequence will take you back to the Matargashti of Tamasha. "Tu hi mujhe bacha sakti hai, says Harry to Sejal will make you miss Ved from Tamasha. Not demeaning any of the mentioned scenes but they're similar and inspired by the best.

If you're overhearing someone saying, "The film's pace is crawling, Imtiaz has wasted time and the plot is just about finding a ring Do not believe them. It is not just about finding a lost ring, it's about finding a lost soul. The plot is about finding where you stand in your life. It's about a tour guide who is lost, it's about seeking what's seeking you. "Hala ki yeh ehsaas hai tu paas hai, phir kyun abhi se hi mujhe yaadein teri aane lagi, these magical lines by Irshad sum up the whole sequence where Harry screams for Sejal over the river "Sejal, aaja yaar. Teri yaad aati hai, fir koi ring shing dhundte hai, This is where Imtiaz Ali's way of proving why no one else understands love better than this man. When SRK sees Anushka with his trademark dreamy gaze and Hawayeinplays, "Chehra kyun lagta tera, yun khwabo se mere? A movie that has been bashed so badly do not have such moments.

Watch the movie, criticize all you want but please note the amount of moments the film has offered. Call spade a spade if it's spade. There are many such moments I can write about but I want you to watch the movie and decide for yourself. As they say, opinions are like ass***** everyone has one and this was mine. If you still have plans to watch this film, do not cancel it because of all the negativity around.

I saw Jab Harry Met Sejal on Saturday, after reading all the bad reviews. To be honest, I expected something that would give me a headache. Instead, what I found was a pleasant film with a lot of giggles, set in beautiful places across Europe.

Yes, agreed that the movie is not without its faults Anushka Sharma's (Sejal's) Gujarati accent was unnecessary, and the apparent impossibility of attempting to find a ring in Europe is laughable, but despite that, the film gave us more joy than sorrow.

Firstly, Shah Rukh Khan's (Harry's) charm is unmistakeable, and the ease with which he delivers his dialogues is the reason why I am such a Jabra fan. As they say, you can resist beauty, but you can't resist charm. There's that scene in a nightclub where Sejal attacks someone (seems like a drug lord) who makes a pass at her. All the other sycophants of the don put their eyes on Sejal, and you'd expect the hero to come and beat them all up. But, instead, SRK comes out and cries in pain, telling Sejal that he had told her not to come to the night club. They both run away, and hide on the side of the boat. It's a scene where the chemistry between the two actors is effortless, and the result is rom-com magic.

Then there's another scene somewhere in the second half, where both Harry and Sejal are sitting by the sea, and Harry cries out Sejal's name loudly in the air and says that he remembers her a lot. As if she is not sitting there, and he is missing her. Again, SRK manages to tug the strings of my heart, and make me feel the true pain of pining for someone.

Another thing that attracted us towards the film was the clothes worn by SRK and Anushka. Honestly, we've not seen a film where the lead actors have been styled better for a long, long time.

Finally, we'd like to add the best part about the film when it was over, I missed being a part of Harry and Sejal's world. The movie didn't seem like a drag to me, and I was glued to my seat even when the end credits were rolling.

It doesn't matter if it's flop...what matters is SRK - the romance king did the magic for me. I fell in love again with SRK after DTPH. I liked the scene where Anushka asks SRK to pretend to be his bf and then he walks back again with so much emotions in his eyes. Anushka is so beautiful in the movie and Dheeraj justified the Gujarati role. And Europe it complimented the movie.

Seriously. I genuinely loved HIM so much. There were so many feels. And to see him in such a physical romantic sense was so different and just so beautiful. I can't describe it, but noone can touch Shah. And for that matter, that is exactly why I think nothing can touch this movie.

best thing about the movie was shah. yes the movie disappoints big time for me, especially 2nd half, but there is no denying shah is most romantic ever. much better than likes of his acts in CE, hny, dudwaale.

how I wish he picks the right movies, scripts.

when it comes to romance and how to win ladies, shah is the king. that dimple!

I very much disliked this film and was disappointed srk did it. The script was so bland and boring.

Saying that thought. I agree with he majority. Srk was by far the best and only good thing in the film.

I always wonder if shah ever gonna gain any weight, I am glad he kept himself slim and trim.
he seriously need to do one mature love drama...full on romance but.

I don't even mind if does a romance movie with bahurani. she looked delicious in adhm, and at least she matured.
I do not want to see him with likes of anu, dips, kat, ...get tabu, vidya, konkona, madhuri, bahurani, even begum would do.

shah and an intense love story.

that's all I want.
