Jab Harry Met Sejal struggled for growth on its second as collections outside the big cities fell. The film will collect around the 14-14.50 crore nett range on its second day and take its business to around 19.50 crore nett in two days.
The film could get close to its day one figures when final figures come in but there is little chance of a higher second day than the first day. This was always likely as films with limited appeal will find it tough to hold numbers at the level it collected on day one.
Jab Harry Met Sejal is trending very similar to Tubelight but at a lower level. That film also face a similar drop on day two and gain it was a case of an initial which just could not be held as the film did not hold appeal for the wider audience. Here it was sort of expected as the director Imtiaz Ali has a poor track record but with Tubelight the director had a Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Ek Tha Tiger behind him but went to the cinema he made before these films.
There is a partial holiday on Monday which will help collections on Monday and on Sunday evening but the film cant really survive in the long run at these levels with this second day trend.
