He's right. Most of the parents fail to do that. An open-minded relationship between a child and his parents is a must. Reminds of this Episode 2 of Satyamev Jayate. It's extremely enlightening and I love how the workshop with the Kids was conducted. Onward 51 mins.

Yes
Mostly they react too late when tragedy has already occurred
Parents don't talk to children about these
So youngsters are ignorant on these subjects

I don't know how I feel seeing those kids around Aamir knowing this man has deserted his own child, his own flesh and blood

How does someone cope if they were sexually abused as a child by a relative but unable to communicate the same to the parents since it feels like they won't believe it and when they do muster the courage to speak up the parents say nothing, ignoring it as if everything is normal?

they block it. Pretend it never happened. But the anger remains inside and eats you. Lifelong damage and never trusting someone else's touch, good or bad.

Pardon my language but if parents don't support who's worst, the molester or the parent who didn't save the kid even after the worst happened?
