We all know Varun Dhawan is a really sweet
guy, but he does like to play a lot of pranks
and do a lot of masti. But that wasn't the
reason why the actor was slapped and
called a disgrace by his very own parents.
Yes, such an incident happened when the
actor was a teenager, studying in college.
But you will surely be surprised when you
come to know the reason for this! You must
be thinking that he must have committed a
huge mistake, but in fact, it was something
any guy would have done in his teenage
years. Varun had done nothing wrong per
se, but he was still slapped by his brother,
Rohit Dhawan, and called a disgrace by his
parents. Surprised?
Well, recalling this scary incident, Varun
revealed on Neha Dhupias popular podcast
#NoFilterNeha season 2, "This was way
back in the day, I was like 16 or something.
This was when I just started going out at
night. And my friend had dropped me home
at like 1 o'clock or something. So I came
home at 1 am at night and there was this
group of girls, they were staying on the first
floor, I had never met them before. They
were almost 10 years older than me and
they were having a party up there and they
saw me and were like you want to come,
we're having a party. So they said come up
and all that. So I went up to this party and it
was a pretty decent party. In the end there
was only one guy left. There were these two
girls and me. It had become 2:30 am, my
phone had gone off and I hadn't informed
anyone that I'm home. After one hour my
brother came knocking on the door because
the watchman had told my brother I had
gone up over there and he was like is Varun
there? And then he saw me coming out of
the room, I had just come out of the room
man because all of us were sitting in that
room. And at that age, I definitely wasn't
going to get lucky with someone 10 years
older than me. I didn't have that game. So I
came out, and my brother shut the door and

Varun thought that this was the end of
things, but things were going to get
messier. As he further added, "He's like what
the hell are you doing? Why didn't you tell us
where you were? At least call or send a
message. So I was like bhaiya bhaiya please
sorry.' I thought he had slapped me now, so
he won't tell mom and dad you know, it's
done. You slapped me, I understood, I
messed up, done.' But he started running up
the stairs. Now I've run behind him,
screaming, Bhaiya, stop stop.' He's run up,
rang the bell, my parents are awake! Dude,
my parents are awake, my mom is awake,
and my dad is pissed! Standing like I don't
know what I've done. Like I was at
someone's house, I wasn't even under the
influence of any alcohol, nothing. I was just
sober like you know. What's my fault?
Though he had not committed a huge
mistake as such, his parents and brother
had other ideas and thought he was rather
irresponsible. Varun was given a big
punishment for this too, as he mentioned,
"My mother was like, you're a disgrace to
this family,' my dad was like, you're this,
you're that and we're ashamed of you,
you're grounded for three months.' And I'm
like what have I done, how is it my fault that
girls who are ten years older than me, call
me to come to a party, which guy wouldn't
go?! Which guy? I said if I didn't go also you
would have another problem but

So that was the incident when Varun
Dhawan was slapped and called a disgrace
to his family. His family, being concerned for
him, did what they thought was right and
we totally respect it.

Pffft your fault was that you stayed out so fricken late being a shy, innocent teenager despite knowing that it would cause serious panic back home. A lot of guys won't go cus they don't have the privilege of partying like an adult at your age without the fear of being skinned alive by their parents after almost giving them a mini heart attack.
As a rebellious, irrational teenager I can understand why he didn't realize he was at fault, but it's surprising that now as an adult he still doesn't get it.

Any parent would be concerned
If the child does not return by the certain time
most do not have the courage to do this
his parents just slapped and scolded him
Other parents could have skinned him alive

Now he's a disgrace to BW

Lololol 😆 This is repeated almost twice a week at my home with my sister and the time is different though and we aint high profile like Dhawans to party that late though 😆


And the typical finishing line is - You would understand once you become a parent 😆

He should be lucky. My amma still beats me with chappal/belan anything she gets her hands on from time to time 😭
