These 10 films prove why Ajay Devgn is underatted in terms Box Office

The reason is evident. Ajay Devgn is as popular as Akshay Kumar among the masses. During my trip to Goa in 2011 that marked the year of Singham's release, guides were seen showing their clients the spots where Ajay Devgn pulled off action stunts as tough cop Bajirao Singham. If an actor can have such an influence on the masses with just one film, then it is really unfair as to why his films do not end up being blockbusters too often?

For instance, he played the role of a smuggler inspired by Haji Mastan in Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai. The dialogues of the film have acquired a cult status over the period of time. Made at a modest budget of Rs 35 crore, the Milan Luthria directorial also featuring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Prachi Desai and Randeep Hooda earned Rs 58 crore.

Similarly, Ajay Devgn pulled off a brilliant act in Drishyam that turned out to be an average grosser. He was a solely responsible for the suspense thriller making moolah at the Box Office. All he needs is a bit more appreciation in terms of collections.

singham earned 101 crore and sos earned 103 crores.

Yes, you're right hence why the writer made a small mistake. Ajay is just as popular as Akki in terms of the masses. With Ajay, he only a has a small fanbase with Multiplexes audiences but single screen is more suitable for him.

You and I both are Ajay Devgan fans. So we can agree that Singham & Singh Returns should have been declared a Blockbuster. The Legend of Bhagat Singh also deserved a Blockbuster status but 2002 wasn't a good year in terms of Box Office.

These people on here are saying Ajay is a fading actor. Yeh Ajay bahut acha actor hai so he's still bankable and he will never be written off in this industry.

When Ajay was doing movies, people like Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty & Govinda vanished because they made the wrong choices. Ajay did not rely on Rohit Shetty to give him success because he was a star before Rohit entered this industry. With Ajay, he made right choices in 2000s e.g. The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Gangaajal, Deewangee, Khakee, Omkara, Golmaal, Lajja, Raincoat, Company & etc.
