Ankita Lokhande: I don't understand why am I being referred to as Sush

Ankita Lokhande spoke about Sushant Singh Rajput, Kushal Tandon and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

Ankita Lokhande is all set to make her Bollywood debut in Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. She will be playing an important character named Jhalkari Bai, the one who used to disguise and shield Rani Laxmi Bai. Her uncanny resemblance to Rani Laxmibai helped her go in disguise and protect her Queen whenever required.

Talking about her foray into Bollywood, Ankita stated to a leading daily, "Not many know about Jhalkaribai, her bravery, and her relationship with Rani Lakshmibai (of Jhansi). I thought it would be really great to become the face of the character."

The actor went through a bad phase last year when she broke up with her actor-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. Ankita has been often referred as Sushant's ex and she is totally irked by it. Speaking about it, Ankita said, "I don't understand why am I [still] being referred as Sushant's ex. I have my own identity. Why not talk about my work? Very soon, I will start shooting for my first Bollywood film and I hope everyone focusses on that."

Moreover, she is now linked with her best friend Kushal Tandon. Ankita dismissed the rumours by saying, "Kushal is a very good friend. This year, I have already been linked with three guys. What's wrong with people?"

The Pavitra Rishta actor added, "Can't I click photos with my friends? I have been a tomboy, having more male friends and even hugging them isn't something new for me. I guess, now on, I will have to be extra careful."

she's rite, why is she being referred to as sushants ex? she does hav her own identity and has moved on from him, i wish her all the best :)

All the best to her! Getting a Bollywood movie is a big deal! Her career is going from strength to strength! From one superhit tv show to a Bollywood movie! And since Ankita has never ever tried to get publicity through sushant and hardly ever gave interviews on him after the break up her questioning the media about being referred to sushant's ex is valid! More power to her!
