Tubelight flopped because murdered people and chinkara's ghost scared all launde lapades from entering in the theatre, Chandni raat main , These ghost became evils and they got succeed to shut all shows.

Tubelight underperformed because it failed to connect with the audience, especially the core Salman audience. Like most I know where expecting Bhai to have fight scenes and more, but the movie was too realistic for them. There are not even a single over the top scene. All the miracles done by Sallu 's character had sane explanations. People were bored by the slow paced screenplay and the movie inclined more to making you cry and less on making movie more fun filled with comic relief and army action. IMO they should have given Sohail more scenes with action sequences, you believe it or not but Sohail is always liked by boys for his action movies. Atleast every guy I know like Sohail's Maine Dil Tujko Diya act. Where he played a serious dude. Plus he is convincing as an action guy. The loudest cheers in the hall was during the army scenes, IMO Tubelight should have exploited it more. Dudes like goli baari, and army emotions make women cry. They missed a chance IMO here. Although another scenario that would have been great would be Tubelight getting into the army, that would have been exceptional, but Kabir did not took risk, and rather tried to explore the emotional trauma of those who have family in army.
Anyways jo huwa huwa, I hope TZH will do good business, as BW(and Katrina) need a big Christmas hit.
