Development Corporation (NSDC) to help
with their Skill India campaign, a
government initiative which aims to
train 40 crore people by 2022.
Reported in PTI, Chopra who already
leads the way with her work with
UNICEF, expressed personal interest
towards the campaign and has agreed
to endorse Skill India on a voluntary
basis. The NSDC MD and CEO Manish
Kumar said, "As brand ambassador we
have given a letter to Priyanka Chopra.
The interest had come from her.
Kumar has also shared that the NSDC
media team are now working on how
Chopra is projected in the best way
possible to encourage the younger
generation, due to her global youth icon
status.
Other celebrities who are also
ambassadors for NSDC include, Virat
Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Shabana Azmi
and Mohit Chauhan.
