WAT WAS IN DHOOM2?

I DONT KNOW WHT WILL BE THE INITIAL REACTION TO ALL OF U AFTER LOOKIN AT THE TOPIC BUT THIS IS MY QUESTION WAT WAS IN DHOOM2 THT MADE IT A HIT? I FELT DHOOM 1 WAS FAR MORE BETTER THAN THE SEQUEL FOR INSTANCE IN THE ORIGINAL BOTH THE HERO AND THE VILLIAN WERE GIVEN EQUAL IMPORTANCE BUT IN THE SEQUEL MUCH OF THE MOVOE ONLY CONCENTRATED ON HRITHIK WHY? AGREE HRITHIK WAS LOOKING GUD AND DID HIS STUNTS WELL BUT Y WAS HE GIVEN MORE ATTN THAN ABHI? SECONDLY THE STORY WAS DRAGGGING IN MANY OF THE SCENES FOR INSTANCE THE BASKTEBALL, THE SCENE WHERE HRITHIK AND ASH TALK WID THE GUN WAT THE HELL WAS THT? 🤢 WASTE OF 15 MINS NEXT WAS BIPS Y WAS SHE GIVEN AS MUCH ROLE AS ASH? I DONT KNOW IF U WOULD AGREE WID ME OR NOT ABHI WAS NOT JSUTIFIED WID HIS ROLES THE PPL WHO BLAME HIM THT HE DIDNT PERFORM WELL HELLO? IF HE WAS GIVEN MORE DIALOGUES ND SCENES THAN HRITHIK 😡 HE WOULD HAVE PERFORMED THIS MOVOE HAS SO MANY FLAWS NO ACTION LIKE THE FIRST MOVIE THE TEMPO IS SOOOOOOOO SLOW THE ENDING 🤢 WAS NOTHIN COMPARED TO THE FIRST I MEAN WAT THE HELL WERE THEY TRYIN TO DO?? LETS SEE WAT OTHERS THINK AND PLZ IF U DO SUPPORT ME DO OPEN THE EYES OF OTHERS BY TELLING THEM THE OTHER DRAWBACKS OF THIS FILM THX

dhoom2 was a terrible movie. HR rocked and had the most role. Ash sucked as always. Bips was hot, but that doesn;t make the movie great. abhishek was just wasted.
the story was very ordinary too.
what made it a big hit? teens drooling over HR.

most of the learned adults who post very logical and sensible posts in sections like DM find the movie pretty bad.

Well said and AMEN. All the movie was about is the hot body of Hritik,half naked women, and a heavy publicised KISS!apparently this is what we call entertienment today. Unfourtunetly this also goes to show the sad quality of Bollywood, and the maturity level of todays viewers

Not all movies are made/watched for logic or for a social message. Some movies are just made for plain ENTERTAINMENT!!

Obviously my way of entertaining myself will be different than others, but I think Dhoom was a hit because it entertained the majority. The reason I found it entertaining was simply because Hrithik rocked, and the more scenes he had, the more I enjoyed. So it made sense to me that he had a better and meatier role than Abhishek. I guess for Abhishek fans that was one of the negative sides.

I do not speak for everyone here, but I did not plan to watch this movie for a story line. I had read rave reviews and I was far from disappointed coz the movie had what I had been looking for in it. Hrithik's acting, dancing and stunts left me wanting more. I don't think it would have been much different if there was some other actor in Hrithik's role....(as long as he did it with the same aplomb) I would have still wanted to watch the movie. The fact that he was cast, was just the icing on the cake for a Hrithik fan like me.

If the movie is going strong, I think it is because it appealed to a greater number of people, which does not negate the fact that there were people who found it outright ridiculous and absurd.

Not that you meant it this way, but I think my having enjoyed the movie does not make me any less of a sensible adult!!

Maybe that was what it was all about for you. But do not generalise saying that this is what everybody who enjoyed the movie saw in it.....

As for the maturity level of the viewers, that is a very questionable statement you make. I don't always want to watch a movie being a mature individual. Sometimes, I watch a movie just for the heck of it. I do like to give my mind rest once in a while and that is when I like watching movies without looking and searching for logic or anything else. I personally think, it does not diminish my maturity in any way possible. It's just one of those things where I don't like to excercise my maturity much....

being an adult and a married woman doesn;t stop me from several things either. I am glad that u did not take my comment personally. I was actually showing a bit of support to the poster because this thread is going to be shredded into pieces otherwise.. someobody had hurled a one-liner already!! 😆😆
