Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have spent 26 years together now. The couple who are considered one of the strongest in industry circles, have always balanced their personal and professional life well.

Gauri's latest project - a restaurant called Arth that she's designed - opened and all her friends and family members were in attendance. For the longest time, there's been a huge debate about star wives and how they are always overshadowed by their superstar's husband's presence.

But Gauri has always charted her own path. Rightly so. In a recent interview, when she was quizzed about the same, she gave an amazing and sensible answer.

She said, "I've always had my identity, even if you didn't see it (smiles). There is a time for everything in life. Earlier, the kids needed more attention, and that's where I wanted to put my energy. But now, with the two of them having grown up, there's more time, so I am enjoying the more structured focus on work."
