I felt something was missing between her marriage and the head cutting court drama...

I agree Tas - if there wasn't any time limit, I think there would've been some confrontation of some sort b/w Bhalla & Devasena..

Why did Devasena detest him so much? Just after the court scene, there was no reason for her to detest him so much.. Bhalla didn't do anything by himself.. It was all done by Sivagami & Bijjala.. and Baahu is not one to talk ill of Bhalla.. so why did Devasena have that look during the coronation? and that smirk on Bhalla's face.. I felt like there would've been a scene in between the court scene & the coronation..

I felt the same! As people watching the movie we know that BD asked his mom that he want to marry Devasena, but no one except his dad and some court friends know abt it ( BD knew AMBB is in love with Devasena). so, at the most Devasena should be angry at Sivagami , no one else..May be BD try to persuade Devsena to marry him... I dont know.. I wish there is a book on this story which gives us the entire story without any gaps..

I think Deva detested Bhalla immediately after court scene because 1) he asked his mother to get him to marry her after just seeing her painting (remember Deva's letter about men who don't have enough guts to ask her directly), and 2) once amar chooses her over kingdom, deva being intelligent would have quickly made the connection that it was bhalla's plan all along and that's the moment she realised that bhalla is a vicious snake, one who would always wish them both ill.. these two reasons are may be enough for that hateful look during coronation scene! but i do want more scenes anyway!
