This is something that's been worrying me. The human body changes its metabolism after one hits mid-30s. I feel that both D and S have kind of wrecked their health for the movies (D for BB and S for Size 0). I remember Vikram doing this kind of self torture for some movie, he acted for months with his eye lids turned upside down or something 🤢 and his face NEVER recovered from that (Simran's face, too, permanently changed once she put on weight, but that was for childbirth and not applicable as example for this situation). I feel like D now looks really middle aged, yet just 4 years back he looked so svelte and super. Compare these two looks, 2013 and 2017, they look like different people!

I am a die hard fan of D these days and really hope he finds out what the matter is with his health, and get its sorted out. He is on hot demand these days and we fans want him to have a long career and health ahead of him 😊

But of course being a man he is in much better position than S. I believe S did a great error of judgement when she decided to put on weight for a movie. I am someone who has been struggling to lose weight for the past decade (I was very thin before) and it has educated me a lot about women's bodies and weight. Women's appearances are very fickle when they reach middle age and I really wish she had not deliberately put on weight like this, because hormonal imbalances take over a woman's body around the age of 35, and it takes very little to trigger them - such as deliberate putting of weight and then immediately trying to lose it all by a rigorous regimen. This kind of yo-yo complete screws up the thyroid, which is responsible for the "balloon" look of the face and throat.

Of course I also know it would be very inspirational for many (including me) if S pulls it off by becoming her old self. But the truth is she has *not* been able to pull it off - my personal trainer's opinion is that she may never get back her old form without surgical help. This is sad, since S took the decision based on her passion for her career, but it has not given positive results. Just when she should have been basking in the success of BB2 she is fielding questions and unkind comments about her weight. I am hoping things work out for her as well, because she is in a field which values sexiness and svelteness - of course she looks great no matter what size she is! - but she may be in for a rude shock when she finds out the mentality of producers/movie folks when it comes to how a current heroine should look. (But perhaps that's okay - S has ruled the field for 10 years as a sexy heroine... she's 36 now, may be its time now for her to unwind, sort out her personal priorities, or concentrate more on meaty character roles rather than billa type dolls!)
