They want to re-create & make it look grand, real life location won't be easy to give that grand impact. Also, i think limitation will be there to use old building, vfx generated u can have anything.

I have recently been to Malta. Trust me, it has that "India feel", Mumbai types. It is not very developed country. It has buildings that resemble Mosques type of minarets.

I'll try to post one pic. Hope it shows.

This picture triggered my memory. BW being BW can only copy copy and copy some more. GOT was filmed in Malta too. Thats what essentially they are trying to imitate.

OMG MrsKhan you changed your UN😲 !!

Lots of HW movies are shot in Malta. It is picturesque, has unique architecture and has a port . It has streets that can be shown as Old Delhi streets.

Also it is dead cheap, so budget can be controlled .
